Faye:
It's so weird to think that Marlo and I have known each other for a month now. Exactly a month. Time has gone by so quickly.
I have a burning desire to text him and tell him this, so I do, because I know there's no way he would've remembered.
To be honest, it feels like way longer than a month because we've texted every single day since that party, and because we see each other a few times a week. The late-night talks in the woods have started to make me feel closer to him, like I get to see a side of him that day-Marlo suppresses.
It's kind of nice, actually.
September-me would never have believed this would happen.

I hear my phone chime twice while I'm about to go into my lecture hall, and I take it out of my pocket once I've found a place to sit.
I knowww I was just about to remind u
It's actually so strange isn't it it definitely feels like way longerIkr it rly does I text back.
We should do something today, then. If u want
My phone buzzes against my hand not even 3 seconds later. Are u free rn?
I'm in a lecture rn sorry:(
I still have a couple more after this but I can lyk when I'm done?
If ur free laterYh I'll be free later
Just text me when ur done okay?Yh ofc
I'll text u as soon as I'm out :)Alright :))
I have never wished for a day at university to go by as fast as this.

I text Marlo the minute that I leave the last classroom, and I'm out of the university building by the time he calls. I let it ring for a few seconds so he doesn't think I'm desperate.
"Hi, Faye." I can tell through his voice that he's smiling, and I feel my face copy soon after.
"Hi, you okay?" I reply.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. Just wanted to ask if you'd wanna go to Camille's? Because that's really the only place I can think of."
"Camille's sounds good. I have to drop my stuff back at my room first, though."
"That's fine, don't worry. Would you wanna meet there instead of us going together because I have to do a couple things before."
"Sure," I check the time quickly on my phone. "Would 4 be fine? Like, would you be able to do whatever you need to do in that time?"
"Yes, and I'll probably be early, too. I'll see you there, Faye. Oh, and I'll be at our table if it's free."
Our table.
