I'm packed, I'm ready, excited even. I just can't wait. Hinatid nila ako sa airport, at talagang kasama silang lahat, full force, happy family. "I guess this is it." Sambit ko habang nakatayo sa harap nila, bago pa makapasok sa loob ng airport. Nagkatinginan sila at tumango sa isa't isa.
"Before you leave, there's something you have to know." Seryosong sambit ni Mama. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, please. Mama, I know, I love you too. Promise, I'll be fine. Thank you so much for this." Niyakap ko naman siya, pero hindi ko siya naramdamang yumakap pabalik. Kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap sakanya. "Is there something wrong?" I asked.
"None, but, yeah, well." Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.
"You're my mom, mom, I know you, what is it this time?" Napakamot naman siya sa ulo, at hindi sumagot. Tinignan ko sila kuya at papa, pero tumingin lang sila palayo.
I crossed my arms. "You're planning something, aren't you?" Umiiwas talaga sila ng tingin. "How stupid I'am not to notice, you guys suddenly appeared infront of me, happy and excited, with a big surprise, that is so impossible, I don't even know why you do it, because I haven't even done something great for you to give me a reward. And I know now, this is something bad." I leaned closer to them. "Am I right?"
"ahhh!" Sabay sabay silang napakamot ng ulo.
"I love it when she's angry. Manang mana sa kuya." Bulalas ni Kuya John. Binatukan siya bigla ni Kuya Anthony, at lumapit naman siya saakin.
"Stupidity is heart, bunso." Sambit ni Kuya Anthony and he even tap my head. Two times.
"Ouch." I slapped him away.
"You'll be alright darling." Niyakap ako bigla ni Papa. "No, turning back now." He said, and after that, pinagtutulak na niya ako papasok sa airport.
"Take care, We love you, have fun and enjoy!" They yelled. Napatingin tuloy saakin ang mga tao. Nakakahiya, but that was sweet.
"Goodluck on your first date!" Narinig kong sigaw ni Kuya John. Napalingon ulit ako sa kanila. Pero wala na sila sa may door way.
Ano daw?
I succesfully entered the airplane. It's not my first time, but it feels like it. I don't know. I must be thinking too hard. I'm on the first class. Nasa may bintana ako, wala pa akong katabi, pero expected na meron.
"Sir please, let us help you." I heard a very straight english speaking lady.
"No, It's okay. I can handle this." And a guy, who sounds like irrated? And his voice are familiar-.
"Just go, please. Stop bothering me." Nasa tabi ko na siya ngayon. Halatang galit siya, at bigla na lang tumabi saakin.
"If you insist sir, we apologize for the interruption. Just call us when you need help." Nakayukong sambit ng isang stewardess at umalis na ito.
Hindi naman ako makagalaw. I was sitting straight and stiff. Nararamdaman kong gumagalaw itong katabi ko, nagaayos ata siya.
"Ahm miss, I think this is yours." He talked to me. Dahan dahan akong tumingin sakanya. Pareho ata kaming nanlaki ang mga mata.
"Waahhhh!" I screamed.
"Oh shit, damn it." I heard him cursed at bigla niyang tinakpan ang bibig ko ng kamay niya. "Shut up, will you? You don't have to shout like I'm some kind of criminal." Halos galit na sambit niya.
I look around, and I see that everyone is staring strangely at us.
"What is it? What? What's going on my plane?" May narinig kaming lalake na mukhang natataranta rin.
"Oh, is he the captain?" Narinig kong bulungan ng mga katabi namin.
"Ahh, sir, we're supposed to fly already." And another guy.
I looked up, and I did saw two men in a white uniform.
"Wait, Mr. Samuel Mathew , is that you?" Nakatingin siya saamin, and he called his name. Wow.
"Certainly, yes. Captain." Napatingin ako dito sa katabi ko. Sumagot siya?
"Haha! Yes, my ever rigid nephew." Lumapit nga ito kay Samuel at nakipag handshake. But the kind of handshake that close men do.
"Everyone, this is my Nephew, Samuel Mathew ." Pinatayo siya nito at talagang hinawakan pa ang kamay pataas, na parang isa siyang champion. "If something happen during this flight, to me or this plane, he will save us!" Proud na proud na sabi nung captain. Nagpalakapakan naman ang mga tao dito sa loob. I was just surprised.
Napatawa naman ang captain at pinaupo na si Samuel. Biglang siyang napatingin saakin. I smiled. "Miss beautiful, are you with this guy?"
"Yes."
"No."
Mine, was yes, his, was no.
"Ohh. That's just great." He held his hand to me, hinawakan ko naman ito. But he leaned closed to it and he kisses the back of my hand. "Take care of him for me, miss."
"Sir, we really have to start the flight." Isang lalake na kapareho ng uniform sakanya ang biglang sumulpot. Binitiwan naman niya ang kamay ko at nag salute pa.
He's too young, to be old.
"Eww, yuck." Biglang nag react itong katabi ko. I just realized na halos tulala pala ako the whole scene. Nainis naman ako kaya pinalo ko siya sa balikat. "Aray ko ah." Binelatan ko lang siya.
"Ladies and gentleman..." The captain announced.
"Bakit magkakilala kayo? Swerte mo ah." Untag ko sakanya.
"He's my father's brother." He said shortly at naglagay na ng headset, ignoring me and most possibly the world.
Umupo na lang rin ako ng maayos, hindi ko na siya kukulitin kasi alam kong, wala naman na siyang pake.
The only question now is, why is he here?
