Chapter XVI - Lost

IVELLA stayed concious as Ryo immediately rushed her to the hospital. Ginamit nila ang sasakyan niya because she couldn’t ride Ryo’s big bike in this situation. She was breathing heavily as her tears began pouring down from her eyes. Nang nasa hospital na sila ay kaagad siyang inasikaso ng mga doktor. After her transvaginal ultrasound, she was immediately advised to do the D&C procedure.

Habang nasa recovery si Ivella pagkatapos ng D&C procedure na ginawa sa kaniya that same day, she was in utter shocked. She didn’t know she was twelve weeks pregnant! And she just lost her angel. God!

She couldn’t do anything but cry. Sa dami-rami ng iniisip niya nitong mga nagdaang araw ay tuluyan na niyang nakalimutan ang sarili. God! She was pregnant! With Javier’s child! And she just lost it because of him. Oh, Lord! She will never forgive that man.

“Hey? Are you okay? I bought soup  outside, pwede ka na raw kumain sabi ng mga doctor.”

It was Ryo. He didn’t leave her side throughtout the procedure. Hindi niya alam kung nasaan na si Javier pagkatapos ng nangyaring komusyon sa parking lot ng building niya.

“He was detained for awhile. Pinyansahan ng abogado.” paliwanag ni Ryo na para bang nabasa nito ang nasa isip niya.

“Did he knew I had miscarriage?” she asked, her voice was dry.

Marahan itong umiling sa kaniya kaya nag-iwas ng tingin si Ivella. Muli na namang tumulo ang kaniyang mga luha. What did she expect? Nag-expect ba siya na kahit na katiting ay makaramdam ng awa si Javier sa kaniya dahil rin sa kagagawan nito? She couldn’t forgive him but she couldn’t help but to think about him also. Deep inside her heart there was a tiny hope that her old Javier will come back in her arms. What happened tonight broke that hope that she was holding.

Javier is a cheater.

Javier lied to her.

Javier pushed her that caused her miscarriage.

Javier is her enemy.

“Thank you so much for bringing me here. Sabi ng doctor pwede na akong madischarge bukas ng umaga. You can go home now, ayaw ko nang madagdagan pa ang abalang binigay ko sayo.”

“Uncle Rigor called your family. I’ll wait for them to come here before leaving. If that’s fine with you.” marahang anito.

Hindi na sumagot pa si Ivella, she just looked away and rested her head.

Ilang minuto pa ay dumating na ang mga magulang ni Ivella. Ryo went outside when her parents arrived. Galit na galit ang ama ni Ivella. Ine-expect niya na iyon.

“That moron!” he was gritting his teeth. “I will make sure to bring him in hell.”

“We can just kidnap him and torture him before disposing his body into the ocean.” it was Pantaleon Roscente, the eldest brother of her father. He was also here.

“Dad... Uncle... This is my battle to handle... Stop thinking about making crimes.” aniya, nanghihina pa rin ang boses.

“You kept saying that but you’re too soft!” her father hissed. “You were silently hoping for him to come back to you! You were patiently waiting and holding into him! No matter what he did to you!”

“Leonardo!” it was her mother who raised her voice. “Do not blame your daughter because of that idiot!”

This was the first time her mother sided to her.

“Masyado nang maraming nangyayari sa paligid ni Ivella! Give her a break.” sabi pa nito. “Your stupid love for that man made you this weak!” baling sa kaniya ng ina pero huminahon din ito nang titigan siya. “How are you?”
