Early the next morning there was a commotion in the warehouse.

Finn woke me and said softly, "I reported to my Alpha last night in my mind. They are here for us. Get ready. We leave now.”

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and stood up. I straightened the fabric on my body that had shifted in the night, it was so small, I wouldn’t call it a dress. Finn looked away in respect.

“My wolf is faster and stronger. Should I shift?” I asked.

“No need. This unit has already killed the guards and is nearly to the door. We may not even have to run far.” He stated. I will tell you if the need arises.” He promised.

The door opened soon after, and we followed a squad of fifteen Lycan out of the path they cleared. There weren’t even any bodies nor evidence of their presence. They had stealth and efficiency as they pulled off their objectives flawlessly.

We left silently, and loaded into one of the black vans parked in an ally. We immediately drove off.

Finn sat beside me. The others, clothed in black military uniforms piled in around us filling three vans.

I tapped my arm. Jesse tapped back.

I wrote: Lycans rescued me. Leaving in van. small strike force.

Jesse responded: So happy. So thankful.

I replied: Where is our force?

Jesse wrote: Phoenix.

I wrote: Stay. Negotiation specialist?

Jesse wrote: No. You.

I responded: Thanks vote of confidence…

Jesse wrote: You have favor with Lycans. Incredible. You're amazing.

I wrote: I look like a hooker.

Jesse responded by touching his body in indecent ways, then wrote: Kidding. Just so happy you out.

I responded: Later, not with 7 male Lycans in a van. High drives.

Jesse wrote: Yes. Mine.
Later. Miss you. Safer. So happy. I will make calls.

I mind linked my mom: I am alive. Lycans saved me. They are driving me to their pack. I am going to try to negotiate an alliance.

I could hear her voice in sobs, I thought you may be dead. I am so happy you are alive.

I felt bad and continued. I am sorry. I should have told you last night. I was busy getting safe. Jesse’s wolf Fang knew this lycan. He saved his life, and Fang’s mark saved mine.

I have to go. Slowing. Might be arriving. I explained. Tell Dad, the twins, and Lindsey that I love them.
I signed off.

The lycans were silent the entire ride so they must also be mind linking others.

We had been traveling for about an hour on backroads with worn out street signs. I had no idea where we were nor where we were going until we pulled up into farm lands.

There were cottages scattered throughout. We drove to a center compound that was heavily guarded with tight security.

“We are here.” Finn said kindly, smiling at me.

“Where is here?” I asked looking out the window.

“My home.” He said with a smile. “You are safe here. No one will harm you Luna.”

We got out and Finn gave me a look and realized something he forgot. “Come. Let’s get you changed. You will attract too much male attention in… that.” He motioned to my dress.
