I awoke to Jesse trying to untangle himself from me.
What’s going on? I asked.
You are throwing off a lot of heat. I was going to turn on the fan, but it seems you don’t want to let me go… Jesse explained.
But if I let you get up, I lose the warm tingly touches and your scent. I whined.
I just need to reach the fan love, then I am all yours. He insisted. He could just break my hold at will, but he was always so careful with me.
He gently removed my arms and legs, got up, turned on the fan, and then he returned, gently putting my limbs back around him.
There. You may resume your snuggles now that I won’t be cooked as quickly. He grinned at me.
I must be having a hot flash. I commented, becoming aware of my current temperature.
Too bad it is summer and not winter. We could use you to heat this house at this rate… He teased kissing my cheek and wrapping me in a tight hug.
What do you want to do today? I asked. My fingers making tingly trails across his skin.
We need to strip the beds, catch the laundry up, and buy groceries. Other than that, our schedule is free to do whatever we want with the twins. He shrugged, nuzzling into my neck to find my sensitive skin making my body react.
Which chore sounds easier for you? Jesse asked.
Grocery shopping. Bending hurts. I stated.
Alright. So I will handle laundry and the twins. He compromised.
OK. One more hour first? I whined. I feel so tired.
One more hour. Jesse agreed, kissing my lips before getting up. I will make breakfast. You rest. He offered.
How do I deserve you? I asked.
I love you. That’s all it takes. Jesse smiled at me as he got some clothes and left to take a shower.
I got my pregnancy pillow from the floor, and got comfortable, falling back to sleep in seconds.
I woke up disoriented. I knew it had been more than an hour. I smelled food, and found a plate next to the bed and a note updating me on Jesse’s whereabouts.
Jesse stripped the twins' beds, fed them, and ran two loads of laundry. He explained that would take the twins to get the groceries and switch the machines when he gets back. He said I looked too adorable to disturb.
You spoil me. I accused.
You deserve it. Jesse countered.
Really I don’t. I am not pulling my weight. I stated taking a bite of my breakfast burrito. It was my favorite.
It is a good thing I can carry at least twice your weight easily then. I would rather put my energy here than anywhere else. Jesse explained.
You don’t resent my laziness? I asked taking a large bite of my breakfast.
Nope. You need rest love. Your eyes are getting dark again. Let me take care of you. Jesse insisted.
I took a sip of the smoothie Jesse made me and moaned out loud. It was so good!
If you could hear the sounds that smoothie just made me make, you would be on me already. It tastes amazing… I complimented him.
And good for you. Jesse elaborated. I promised to take care of you and I am.
