The following night, the girls attended a concert featuring WuTang Clan, Redman, Mos Def, De La Soul, and other rap artists. The atmosphere was electric, with the crowd going wild. For Jaida, seeing WuTang Clan for the first time was truly life changing. She had always heard about their performances and watched numerous interviews but witnessing them in action was a whole new experience. The concert was completely sold out, the crowd rapped word for word. Jaida was in awe.

After the concert, the girls joined everyone at the club for the after-party. They were dressed to impress, with Shay and Tia opting for more revealing outfits, while Jaida kept it cute and classy. The club was packed, and as they made their way to the VIP section, they attracted attention from men all around. However, the women paid them no mind. They settled at the bar, enjoying their drinks and engaging in conversation.

"Shay, who you been eye-fuckin since we came to the section?" Tia spat trying to follow Shay's attention.

Shay smiled mischievously and pointed to a tall, handsome man across the room. "That fine chocolate ass nigga over there," she replied, still fixated on him.

He didn't look familiar to the ladies, but Shay could tell his pockets were big. Shay stood up from the stool and pulled down her mini dress, "I'll be right back, y'all." Tia waved her off knowing Shay was gonna make her way over there.

Meanwhile, Jaida took a sip of her drink, taking in the scene. The section was filled with rappers, smoking, drinking, and mingling with groupies. Jaida soaked in the vibe, grateful for the past two days of enjoyment. Spending time with her best friend had been exactly what she needed, and she hadn't realized how much until now. Their busy schedules rarely allowed them to unwind and have a good time.

"I need to use the bathroom. I'll be right back," Tia said, stepping away from the bar. However, her steps halted as she noticed Method Man walking towards her. "Hey Shotgun, can you hold my spot? I'll be right back," she requested in a rush before he had a chance to respond.

Method Man shook his head in amusement and took a seat next to Jaida without saying a word. He ordered a drink, while Jaida focused on her phone. As he glanced over at her, his eyes scanned her from head to toe.

Leaning closer, he commented, "Doesn't look like you're enjoying yourself." Jaida shifted her attention to the voice beside her, slightly startled to realize he was sitting there. She quickly closed her phone app and directed her gaze towards him.

"Oh, no, I'm good. Just responding to emails," she explained.

Method Man simply nodded, creating a moment of awkward silence.

Jaida extended her hand and introduced herself, "I'm sorry. Jaida. Jaida Steele."

He hesitated briefly, glancing down at her hand and then meeting her eyes. "Very nice to meet you, Jaida Steele. You can call me Cliff," he replied coolly, clasping her hand firmly.

Their handshake lasted a bit longer than usual, as if they were both caught in a trance but Method Man's demeanor gave nothing away, making it difficult for Jaida to read him, just like the previous night when he walked in on the girls' conversation.

As their handshake came to an end, they reluctantly let go, neither wanting to be the first to break the connection. "Thank you for keeping my seat warm," Tia approached.

Mef didn't say a word, he stood up, preparing to leave but not before he leaned in Jaida's ear and said, "You lookin' real beautiful by the way." His tone wasn't flirtatious but respectful and genuine. Jaida was caught off guard but blushed as he walked away, leaving the scent of his cologne in the air.

Jaida sat at her desk scrolling through her reports. Her phone buzzed. She looked down at her notification from social media, 'i.bia.tia.bxtch tagged you in a photo'. Opening the notification, she smiled at the photo Tia and Jaida took at the club last week. She then looked at the clock on her computer that read 4:45pm, which meant it was time to go. She closed out of her reports and started to gather her things. As she walked to the front door, taking out her keys, her phone buzzed again. 'methodmanofficial followed you' popped up on her screen. She chuckled and waited a couple of minutes before she pressed 'Accept. Follow Back' . She turned her key, locked the building door, threw her keys in her purse, and headed to her car. Once she got settled in her car, she checked her phone again and read 'you and methodmanofficial are now following each other'. Before she could even blink, he sent her a message. Her face scrunched up in confusion and then nervousness soon followed as she opened the message and read, 'I need to see you.'
