Jaida sat in her living room, looking at the text she just received from Mef.

Mef: Hey
Jaida: Hey.

She saw him typing for a minute but then it disappeared. She sighed at the awkward state their relationship was in. Two weeks ago they fought, made up and confessed that they were in love. Jaida even stayed over that night but she did feel that they should take some time apart.

Mef: You got time tonight? I wanted to take you out.
Jaida: take me out? tonight??
Mef: I've been tryna see you for a minute. U been ghosting me...
Jaida: Cliff...we agreed for space.
Mef: Jaida I'm trying here.

Jaida rolled her eyes and sighed again. It was true. She's been giving him the cold shoulder since they made up. She couldn't help it, everything just still bothered her. That fight they had that night exhausted her and they didn't really hash everything out, they just went to bed and Jaida left early in the morning. They've been in contact but the energy wasn't the same.

Jaida: I'll meet you there.
Mef: Cool. Reservations at 6. Please wear something nice.

Tia sat at her cubicle at work, typing up an article. Her boss Colin came into the office. "Tia, please meet me in the conference room," he said abruptly and walked out.

She scrunched up her face, thinking that was weird. Whenever someone gets called into the conference room it's usually never a good thing. Tia gathered her things and headed to the conference room. "Sup boss man?" She greeted as she closed the door and sat down.

Colin sighed and clasped his hands together, his expression serious. "Hello, Tia. How have you been?"

She shrugged, "I'll be better when I find out why I'm here."

"Well Tia. You've been our top writer for the past two years. However, we need...more."

Her face dropped, "more?"

He nodded, "Rhyme and Reason is kicking our asses. They recently have been the ones to break out the biggest stories in hip hop. You know we're usually the ones to do that." Tia nodded in thought as he continued, "I need you to give us something. Something that will keep the people talking. I know you know a lot of people," he paused and gave her a look, "And didn't you do an interview with Method and Redman? I know you said y'all were close. Isn't that book coming out about him?"

Tia shook her head, "Colin, I can't put their business out there." Colin raised his hands, understanding her concerns. "I'm not asking you to do that," he assured her. "I'm just saying...we need to get back on top. Your position is at stake here." With those words, he stood up and left Tia alone with her thoughts. There was so much going on with Mef and Jaida and the blogs. Feeling torn between loyalty to her family and the hard work she had put into her career, Tia sighed deeply. There was no denying the drama surrounding Mef's life but breaking the family code is something she never considered doing. She leaned forward, placing her head in her hands, frustrated by the weight of this decision hanging over her.

Mef glanced at his watch, tapping impatiently on table as he awaited Jaida's arrival. His mind was racing with anticipation, hoping that the evening would unfold smoothly. Ten minutes later Jaida walked in and his dick instantly started to rise. She walked in wearing a red velvet dress, face accentuated with makeup, her hair in a low, long ponytail with a deep swoop, and black laced up heels.
