3. sᴇʀᴠɪᴄᴇ

Finally arriving home you put up the groceries and grab a snack before heading back out again. You have to go to the 6 month memorial for Uncle Ben. It just makes you sad. You had only been SpiderKid for like a week before he died. If you were better you could have saved him, in some way.

6 months of being SpiderKid, and yet you still have no desire to do any of this anymore, but you do. The pro's or the main heroes handle all the big stuff, like aliens, actual villains and even cults sometimes. You were glad that wasn't your job.

Finally arriving you slip into the room and your aunt may comes up to you.

"I'm glad you decided to come. This.. isn't easy for any of us." She pays your shoulder and continues talking to the others.

You find a seat and sit down. The sooner this is over with, the sooner you can pretend none of this ever happened.

"[Name]! Wow! What a surprise that your here!" Ranboo walks up to you and sits down next to you, tubbo following.

"..at my uncle's memorial? It's a surprise to see you here- and wait. I'm not in the mood to talk to you guys. Remember that thing you pulled with purpled?" You glare down at your hands.

"[N/n] please we didn't mean to upset you.! Purpled just is not a very good person-" tubbo starts.

"Seriously? Can you not call my best friend that? Especially at my uncle's memorial." You glare at tubbo.

Purpled(from across the room) hears what you said and a grin plasters itself on his face. Tubbo freezes and ranboo's hand clenches up.

"Best friend? That's going to far." Tubbo grabs your shoulders and makes you look at him and ranboo. "Look I'm sorry but us and him just have beef or something. We just care about you. Be careful okay?" Tubbo uses a fake smile as he grips your shoulders.

"Fine! Jeez your grip is strong- do you work out?" You pull yourself out of his grasp.

"uhh.. yes! Yes he does- we do actually!" Ranboo buts in.

"Okay- now if you could sit somewhere else- I have that seat saved for aunt may."

".. yeah sure." Tubbo replies before dragging a distracted ranboo along. They needed to talk with purpled anyways.

"Purpled. What you are doing is sick. Big Q doesn't need to know about them and you are putting them in more danger." Tubbo seethes to purpled.

"Oh please! As if you aren't doing the same thing. Ranboo with the syndicate and you with your father! Hell after you told Tommy I would be surprised if the whole sbi family didn't know." Purpled looked over at you from across the room and smiled. "They'll be safer with me."

"You are such a liar!" Tubbo hissed. Ranboo kept their eyes on you while tubbo conversed.

"Please. I know what I'm doing. I always have a plan. Now if you excuse me I'm going to go talk with my best friend." Purpled gave a sinister grin before walking past tubbo and ranboo and over to you.

"Why helloooo" He stood behind you.

You ,being startled, jumped and turned around. "Why hello nerd." You give him a playful smile. "What's up?"

"Just checking on you. Cause, well you know." He puts a hand on your shoulder comfortingly.

"Yeah. Thank you." You smile. Then your aunt may comes over and pulls you away. "Oop bye purpled!"

"[Name] I need your help." She whispers to you.

"Uh yeah?" You whisper back confused.

"The Minecraft's are here." She looks around after saying that.

"The who- oh wait- Tommy's family? Yeah I don't see what so-"

"They are very wealthy [name]! And hold a lot of authority in newyork!" She whisper shouts.

"And that has something to do with me how?" You question.

"They asked to see you." She finally calms down and stops whispering.

"Like me me? I- how do they even know Ben?" You question yet again.

"I'm not sure. Ben was an electrician so maybe he fixed something of theirs. Or maybe they're here for you? Who knows. I've got business to attend to so please, handle it." She walked off.

You spot Tommy looking around. Most people would see Tommy and would be like woah he's tall! Because he is but his family is even taller.

Tommy spots you and waves. You walk over. "Uh hello again tommy-. Great to see you again-?"

He hugs you. "Yeah! It's great to see you!" He smiles.

"Yeah uhm- sorry if this comes across as rude but what are you doing here? Do you know ben somehow?" You wonder.

Tommy opens up his mouth to answer but the oldest of the four speak up. A blonde man.

"Sorry about him, he gets like that." The father speaks up.

"more like he's just loud." The eldest of the three brothers mummers. He fiddles with his long pink hair.

"hEy!" Tommy defends.

"I'm philza and these are my son's, technoblade, Wilbur, and of course you know Tommy. We didn't know Ben personally but we like to memorialize everyone, in this area." He smiled and shook your hand. He was lying of course. He could care less about other people.

Phil began to walk away. Tommy smiled when passing you by. It was his usual unusual smile. Very bright and creepy. Wilbur had a lovesick look on his face as he passed by you, very clearly thinking of something.

However the strangest reaction to simply your existence was technoblade. He had looked irritated the whole time of being there, but when he passed by you his face loosened. Like his eternal headache was gone. Tommy had to drag him away from you because he just stopped walking.

Eventually you went and sat down next to aunt may, she did make a speech as did several others and unlike most important life events there wasn't any villains threatening your city. There were so many people you didn't know at the ceremony, and some you did. You saw Mr.halo and Ms.Puffy. Mr.halos husband looked annoyed but it was probably just a resting face or something. Ms.Puffy was with her friend...the Warden? You didn't remember his name.

They looked like they were watching something but you could have no clue as to what. After the memorial people slowly head out, alot of the people you don't know head out first.

Now the sbi family, your teachers and your friends were here and you needed to send them off. Y'know say goodbye? After saying goodbye to Tommy's family, and your friends (all separately). You head over to bad and his husband.

"Hello again Mr.Halo! Mr.Halo's husband..?" You greet.

"Ah [Name]! It's great to see you again! And yes this is my husband!" Mr.Halo gestured to the shorter man wearing a red hoodie. "Skeppy." He elbowed the man.

"M. Hello." He finally looked down at you and then a grin spread across his face. Mr.Halo was shocked but quickly put on a fake smile.

"We need to go home now skeppy. [Name] it was truly great seeing you!"

You nodded and let them leave. When you went to look for Ms. Puffy and her friend, they weren't there. You shrugged it off and went to say goodbye to other guests before finally packing up and going home. It was quite the day.
