13. ᴋɴᴏᴄᴋ ᴋɴᴏᴄᴋ!

Knock. Knock.

You sobbed, and sobbed and sobbed. For what felt like hours. Thoughts bubbled and fizzed out just as quickly as they got there. It felt like the world was spinning. Colors blurred together and the silence was too loud.

You were curled into a ball in a corner in what was supposed to be your room. It felt to big and empty to be yours. It didn't have your posters, or decor. It didn't have the smell of home. And most importantly, it didn't have may.

Oh my God how you miss aunt may. Her warm hugs and bright smiles. Her tasteless food that you always complained about but now more than ever you want it. The shitty little apartment she could barely afford and the busted AC.

KNOCK KNOCK!!

You missed her so much. She always tried her fucking hardest to take care of you. She never wanted to have kids and when her sister died leaving you with her it was.. so heartbreaking. That was a few years ago.

Now you both had lost Ben and even though you were drifting apart and might complain about how hard on you she is, you still love her. God you never wanted any of this to happen.

KNOCK "[Name] I'm coming in." Ranboo's voice interrupted your thoughts. You glared at the door in hopes it would just disappear and they wouldn't be on the other side.

A clicking sound can be heard as they enter the room and quickly shut the door behind them. Their tail swinging as they hold out the tray of food.

"Little ending what are you doing on the floor? It- it's dinner time!" They smile warily.

You face the wall, avoiding their gaze.

"..[n/n].. come- c'mon- just-" they sigh and walk over to you. Sitting the tray in front of you and sitting themself across from you.

"What's wrong..?" They grab your hands and hold them gently. You could really use a hug, and ranboo's were always great but, not now.

"What do you mean 'what's wrong'?! You fucking kidnapped me! I never wanted any of this. I never wanted stupid spider powers- or- or for my aunt to be in danger because a bunch of FREAKS are like what- obsessed with me?" You ranted. Tears still falling and your body still shivering.

"..." Ranboo looked at you sadly. They grabbed a handkerchief and wiped away your tears very cautiously.

"Why.?" You sniffle.

"What?"

"Why? Why did you do this to me.? What did I ever do to deserve this? Is my life just doomed to be... Awful?" You sob out.

Ranboo jumps and immediately pulled you into a hug, you tried to get out of their hold but it felt to.. comforting.

"Shh.. it's okay baby... It will be okay.. I've got you... You're safe now.." they kiss your forehead and slightly wince at every year of yours that touch their skin.

Eventually yours tears slow and come to a stop and you are in their hold with your head on their chest. You sigh and pull away from their grip, looking around the windowless room.

"..." You don't know what to say, or feel.

Ranboo sets the food tray down on a table and kisses your forehead one last time for the night.

"Make sure to eat that... And uhm- get a shower and some sleep. You gotta start taking better care of yourself." They pull out their key and unlock the door, quickly going through, shutting, and locking the door behind them.

"SIR! SIR! PLEASE! One minute of your time!" The man rushed after the boss.

"Fine. What is it fundy? I don't have time for your bull shit I'm busy tracking my duckling-" The boss sneered.

"We have a lead!" The man sputtered out.

"What?" The boss stopped and looked at his employee.

"Yes! They were last spotted with the members of the 's-b-i' leaders. Specifically with them being unconscious meaning-"

"The fucking sbi took my spider!" The boss hissed. His wings sticking out, the broken feathers falling onto the floor. "Oh those fuckers will pay! Fundy."

"Yes, sir?" He perks up.

"Set up a meeting with them. We need to talk." He walks off.
