We pull away from each other, looking up. Mum looks at me, laughter in her eyes. I blush, looking down at my feet. "Can you at least come and help with the decorations before you guys start playing kissy face?" Scott says. Zack laughs, kissing my cheek before heading inside after Mum. I head over to Scott, glaring at him. "That wasn't necessary, Scott." I say. He shrugs, running a hand through his hair. The doorbell rings and I inhale sharply.
Lauren and Melody walk into the garden, smiling at us. I release my breath, relieved. "SCOTT!" Lauren shouts, wrapping her arms around his neck. Scott laughs, picking her up slightly. "Hey, Lauren! What's new?" He says. Lauren giggles, whispering something in his ear. "Shut the fuck up." He says. "Swear Jar!" Zack shouts from the kitchen. I giggle at my boyfriend's antics, shaking my head. "Hey guys!" He shouts to the group inside. Mum, Asher, Bobby, Xornoth, Dad and Zack come outside, looking at Scott. "This better be good, my love. Riley and the rest of the kids are coming with the presents soon!" Asher says. Scott takes a deep breath, smiling at Lauren. "Xornoth and Joey are getting married in two weeks!" Scott squeals. We all cheer, making Xornoth blush bright red. "I thought he already told you guys, except from Maxine." He whispers. The group goes silent. "Oh, don't worry about Maxine. She is isn't relevant right now. Congratulations, Xornoth!" Mum says, hugging him tightly. Everyone takes their turns hugging Xornoth, smiling and congratulating him. Zack grabs my hand, pulling me inside and up the stairs, away from the group. I giggle, running a hand through my light blue hair

"Hey." He says, stroking my cheek with his fingers, making my heart flutter. "H-hey." I stutter back. Zack grins at me. He leans down and kisses me, his fingers tangled in my hair. "I love you, Halsey Dwyer." He says against my lips. I smile.
