I grab her hand and she pulls me out the dance floor. I giggle as she dips me and spins me around. "Riley!" I shout with laughter. Riley giggles, spinning us round and round. "Live life, bestie!" Zack says, joining us with Leo and Halsey by his side. I see Joey smiling at us. "Let's go get something to drink! It's hot as hell in here!" Leo says. We all nod and head over the drinks table, grabbing some fruit punch from the bowl. I also sneak over and grab some cookies as well. "Is Max coming?" Halsey asks. Riley shrugs, sipping her drink slowly. "I guess maybe it's better if she didn't show up. Dad and Papa's day would be ruined." She says. We all nod, sipping our drinks in silence. "Oh my fucking god." Halsey says. We all look at her, following her gaze to the door. Maxine is there, her crew straight behind her.

Riley starts hyperventilating, turning pale. I look over at her. "Halsey, take Riley away to Mom." I say. Halsey nods, grabbing Riley by the arm and pulling her away. Zack follows them. I go over to Joey, and tap his shoulder. "Joey?" I say. Joey looks at me. "What's wrong, Melody? Have you seen Riley?" He asks me. I point to the door. Joey's eye follow point and his face turns pale. "Fuck." He says. He runs over to Xornoth. Xornoth looks over at Max and her group and scowls. He walks towards them.
