(Y/N's POV)

I proudly wandered through the town, on my way to Casita to visit my gorgeous boyfriend, Bruno.

We had been talking about how to reveal our relationship to everyone. I knew Bruno was very anxious about how the villagers would react.

He feared that they would make fun of me or regard me poorly for being with the 'evil fortune teller' as some of the louder villagers call him.

Considering my family knew of my crush on the only male Madrigal, they knew as soon as I walked in the door.

I revealed to Bruno that I had the perfect way to announce our relationship to the town. He'll find out today when I arrive to Casita.

There were quite a few people out, and most of them were staring at me in shock.

I unexpectedly had a courageous villager carefully approach me. She inquired why I was wearing the outfit I had chosen. It was a 12-year-old girl, whose mother was watching me curiously.

"I'm wearing this to show my support for the kindest, most extraordinary man I had ever known."

"Bruno Madrigal?"

"Absolutely."

"Isn't he scary and mean though?" She politely asked.

"Not at all. He is quite the opposite actually. You shouldn't listen to rumors. Get to know people and make your own opinion. Sometimes, you'll find the nicest people could be the ones people don't understand."

By this point I had other people coming up, listening to my humble advice.

"Are you dating Bruno?" Another villager asked.

"I am. That is why I chose to wear this."

I left the villagers after this, listening carefully to the awed whispers. I was surprised to find there were very few negative whispers.

Most of the villagers were talking about what I informed the courageous villagers.

It seemed good so far. I might have to ask Julieta and Pepa later about how the response was.

(Bruno's pov)

I was wondering what Y/N's plan was. She told me she'd reveal our relationship to the town today. I had no idea how she planned to do so.

She did say I wouldn't need to do anything, because she knew about my fears.

I stepped out of my bedroom, tugging at my ruana nervously.

I hope she's okay. It's taking longer than normal for her to get here.

There was a gentle knock on the door, and Mama opened it. I overheard her happily greet my girlfriend, and she admired Y/N's choice in outfits.

I walked over to the balcony, conveniently overlooking the private courtyard. My eager eyes fell on my lovely girlfriend. I couldn't help the blush I felt heating my face.

She was wearing a brown blouse with an emerald green skirt. She had my hourglass symbol embroidered on the bottom of the flowing skirt, as well as around her neckline. She also wore obvious hourglass earrings, similar in size to Pepa's favorite Sun earrings.

My iconic symbol was very proudly being displayed. I felt both surprised and honored that she would so proudly wear the one symbol that was frequently associated with me.

There was no way people wouldn't realize what that meant. It was no less evident than if she had sewn 'I am Bruno Madrigal's girlfriend' in bulky letters on her blouse.

I walked down the stairs to greet Y/N as my mother walked away.

"You've apparently have made quite the statement today, Cariño." I smiled fondly at her as I hugged her in greeting.

She grinned delightedly at me. "I probably did. I had a couple brave villagers come up to me to ask about my embroidery choice. Hopefully, my answer will get people thinking."

"Oh?" He inquired.

"Advised them to ignore rumors and to associate with people before forming in opinion about them. There were enough people out today, that it might just help people realize that your not a bad person Bruno."She replied. I merely hummed in response, not completely convinced that the villagers can regard me as anything besides a harbinger of doom.

"We'll see." Was all I could say, before we retreated to my room to work on my latest telenovela.

(Later)

"Whatever you told those villagers this morning genuinely seemed to work Y/N." Julieta started, as she walked into the courtyard. Y/N and I decided to stay in the courtyard in the afternoon. That we could find out how the villagers are reacting to her wardrobe choice. "I overheard plenty of conversations. Some were talking about how Y/N would never allow herself to be with someone bad. They said that if she thought you were a good person, they would trust her judgement."

"I heard some people talking in small groups about what they've noticed the few times they've seen you out. How you tend to shy away from confrontation, you're quiet and polite, and how a few of them have seen you go out of your way to help someone." Pepa added.

"There were a few people re-evaluating their prophecies and decided to try to change them for the better, like Osvaldo with his candy addiction. They decided to do what they can to hopefully change the result, and they may return for an updated vision, to check their progress." Julieta continued.

"There were a few trying to stir up trouble, like Señorita Pezmuerto, but no one was listening to them."

"Wow." Was all I could say. I turned to Y/N, whom was wearing a satisfied smile. "Let's see how long this lasts."

"I'll continue wearing your hourglass motif for a while, let people know I'm serious about this relationship." She took my hand in hers.

"I've only been in love with you all my life, after all."
