Reader/Triplets-19

It was a special Madrigal Vacation Day.

Every three months, the Madrigal family would take a day off from working and just spend the day as a family.

Since all three triplets were in relationships, Alma decided to include the three future Madrigals to these Family days, including you.

Today's vacation day was to be spent at the local beach.

Julieta, being the most busy of the three siblings, always prepared food the night before to take to the doctor's office.

Your workshop and apartment were closer to the office, so you agreed to help Julieta put the food together in boxes. You took the boxes home with you so you could drop them off on your way to the beach.

You had been planning on what to wear for the trip for a long time. You had a special surprise for your boyfriend.

I always look forward to our family vacation days, but now I am even more excited.

Ever since Y/n and I became serious, Mama has invited her to our family time. Just like she has for Felix and Agustin.

I love my family, but I began to feel left out when my sisters boyfriends started coming over. Y/n had just been my best friend at the time, so she wasn't truly part of the family yet.

Mama liked her a lot and often said she'd be the perfect wife for me. However, it wasn't until we got together that Mama allowed her to be part of our special days.

I looked myself over in my full-length mirror. I am wearing my normal green ruana, and dark brown swimming trunks, the same color as the pants I usually wear. I decided not to wear a shirt under my ruana.

I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart before leaving my tower. Together my family and I made our way to the beach, where we would be meeting the others.

Felix offered to bring food for the day, Agustin brought blankets to lay on if we didn't want to be in the water. Y/n offered to bring drinks. She told me she was bringing an assortment of soda and coconut lemonade.

Pepa wore a golden swim dress, with red accessories. Pepa included a large red sunhat to protect herself from the sun. Julieta chose a simple dark blue one piece swimsuit.

We made it to the beach, where we could find Y/n and Felix putting their coolers and baskets on top of a picnic with a large umbrella over it, providing shade.

Agustin was laying out a few blankets for us to sit on, and placed some beach towels on the bench of the picnic table for anyone who got into the water.

Felix wore a similar scheme to Pepa. A sunny yellow shirt and red swim trunks. This was the first time I ever saw Agustin wearing casual clothes. He opted for a plain white t-shirt and dark blue swim shorts, which complemented Julieta blue one piece.

The one person I really had my eye on from the moment I arrived was Y/n, whose appearance had my jaw dropping to the sand.

Y/n was wearing a mint green swim dress with matching shorts. She also had beige sandals on and had her hair put up in a matching beige headwrap.

I greeted her with a smile and a kiss on her cheek, mindful of Mama and my sisters.

"You look gorgeous Mi Amor."

"Gracias. I have to say I am really enjoying the sight right in front of me. You are so handsome Bruno, you really have no idea."

My sisters came over to greet Y/n after they greeted their boyfriends. I walked over to Felix before having to listen to the girls compliment each other.

"Quite a lovely group of ladies we have over there isn't it Bruno?" He greeted.

I hummed in agreement, watching Y/n talking to Pepa and Julieta.

This had to be my favorite thing to do. Spend a calm, relaxing day with my girlfriend and family.

Y/n and I got into the water to cool off and had a bit of a splash war. I loved listening to her laugh. She always sounds so carefree.

We swam around, playing a lighthearted game of tag, just enjoying the relaxing day.

We ate a late lunch, and just chatted with each other and having a good time. I told a funny story to my family, and I even got Mama to laugh.

I always felt for Mama. She had gone through so much. I admire how strong she is. She lost her home, and her husband so soon after giving birth to us.

Yet, she didn't falter. She picked herself up, and raised all three of us pretty much on her own. I mean, she did have some help from Y/n's parents. All four of us grew up together, but still.

It must have been so hard. Especially with the fact that everyone in the Encanto looked to Mama for guidance. And then my sisters and I got our gifts. Mama had to raise magical triplets with little help.

Mama was always so busy, so serious. I rarely get to see her so relaxed and happy. So getting her to laugh was the best thing I could do. She looked so much like the woman I imagine she was when she was with Papa.

After lunch, Y/n and I took a walk down the beach. We quietly talked about whatever came to mind. My telenovelas, her glass artwork, hopes and dreams for the future. A future I hope we can share.

We may have only been dating for a little while, I know where I want our relationship to go. I now that neither of us is ready for marriage yet. However, I know that she is the one I want to marry.

Y/n told me that she felt the same way, and that she looked forward to the day we are both ready for such a commitment.

We returned to the others, and Pepa roped us into playing beach volleyball with my sisters and their boyfriends. We played as couples with Mama as the referee. We played against Pepa and Felix first. Pepa and Felix won.

After taking a quick break for a drink, we played against Julieta and Agustin. We won that round.

Finally Pepa and Felix played against Julieta and Agustin. Julieta and Agustin won that game. It was kinda funny how they won that game.

Agustin was in the front and he tripped over his feet as he went for a spike. He fell flat on his face into the sand. But he somehow sent the ball back over the net with enough speed that neither Pepa nor Felix could reach the ball before it hit their side of the net.

Julieta laughed even as she enchanted some of the left over food to heal her boyfriend. For his part, Agustin just grinned sheepishly.

After all that playing we all went back to the water to cool down.

We finished the day off on the beach towels, drinking coconut lemonade while watching the sun set over the water.

I couldn't ask for a better day, spent with everyone I loved.
