CHAPTER 9: NO TURNING BACK
I am so busy right now. After meeting with Mr. Gonzales, nandito na naman siya sa isang cafeteria having discussions with Serrena Buenafe, the titled Asian supermodel, they booked her for advertising for hair beauty products and the company would hold her fashion show carrying Tiffany bags and summer dress collections.
"Well, I wish you'd be here in our show. I would love to see you there." Her voice was kind of sweet and seductive. Namumungay ang mga mata nitong nakatitig sa kanya. He remained business as usual.
Sanay na siya sa pakikipaghalubilo sa mga ganitong uri ng babae. He met a lot of models, prettier than her but he didn't take all of them seriously. He admit, na minsan ay nakakasama niya ang mga ito after the shoot but other than that, wala ng malalim na ugnayan. Nangyayari ang mga inaasahang bagay due to flirting at hindi naman siya apektado ni isa sa mga flings niya. They flirt with him and he just give what they want. Parehas naman silang nagkakaroon ng benipisyo. He give them pleasure and after that, no string attached. Gusto lang din naman niyang magsaya. As a man who has sexual needs, natural lamang sa kanya ang lumandi sa iba't-ibang babae.
As of now, simula nang guluhin ng dalaga ang isipan niya sa kahit isang gabi pa lamang niya ito nakasama at naikama ay tila nawalan siya ng gana sa mga babaeng nakakasalamuha niya. What makes him strange is nawawala na ang ang excitement at attraction niya sa ibang babae.
"I would love to but I will be busy during that event. I have the right employees to represent on behalf of Glamour Z' Magazine. Rest assured that you have our support." Binalingan niya si Dominic na nakatitig lamang sa modelo.
"Dom, please discuss Miss Buenafe about the contract. I have to go." He was preparing to leave.
Nakita niya ang disappointment sa mga mata nito but she just covered it with her fake smile. As usual, every time he refuses the obvious invitation, ganoon ang mga reaction na nakikita niya, faking their disappointments. Dominic smiled dahil alam naman nito ang mga paraan niya upang makaiwas. Miss Buenafe just smiled at him pretending that it was okay. The editorial head and the media specialist are here in the meeting, and he was sure na ma-aaccomodate ang needs and demands ng show. And of course ang team ng modelo to discuss the further detail. She's an Eurasian model, half Indonesian and half French but not his type.
Dandreb taking notes all the important details. Nakipagkamay pa siya sa VIP na kasama nito bago lumisan. Nagmamadali siyang naglakad habang nakasunod naman ang kanyang Assistant na si Dandreb.
"Boss, lakas ng tama ni miss Serrena sayo. Panay ang tingin sayo kanina eh. Naku boss, sigurado akong may ibang kahulugan iyong mga paanyaya niya." Anito. Napailing-iling na lamang siya sa komento. He has no time for that anymore.
Sumakay na sila sa kotse at sumakay naman si Dandreb sa frontseat, katabi ang driver.
"Kung gusto mong e-date si Serena, boss, I will put it in your schedule. When?" anito habang hawak ang schedule notebook. Humugot siya ng hangin at napailing.
"No. Dandreb, I have no time for that. I am busy and I need to attend all the scheduled appointments." He said in a business tone. He leaned his back and closed his eyes to relax.
"Kahit naman busy ka noon, nagagawa mo pa namang makipagdate sa mga seksing modelo." Komento nito habang inaayos ang mga dalang gamit.
"I am not interested. Anyway, what is the next schedule?" Pag-iiba niya ng usapan at sinulyapan ang orasang pambisig.
"Presentation ng new branch for editorial sa NY, boss."
He took a glance at his wristwatch again to check. May thirty minutes pa sila para sa lunch.
