Josh's POV

When we reach the pack lands, Joseph and I go with Nicolas to the hospital, while Wyatt goes to his house, because he decided that he had enough of us for today.

"What is this place?" Nicolas asks us.

"I will tell you tomorrow, you had enough stress for today." I tell him, and he nods in agreement.

"What's your guess?" Joseph asks curiously.

"No idea, it looks like some kind of a werewolf pack or something, but it's clearly not, because they don't exist." Nicolas says, and I laugh slightly.

I already like him, I'm sure that we will be fine together, it's easy to tell.

Neither Joseph or I comment on it, so Nicolas leaves it alone.

He's most likely just grateful that we will give him a place to stay, so he doesn't question us.

"We will have to make sure that the guards are with him all the time, he's quite dangerous." Joseph tells me, and I nod in acknowledgement, although I would have preferred if it wasn't necessary.

"I won't kill anyone that doesn't deserve it." Nicolas tries to argue, but Joseph looks at him with an amused expression.

"You're a serial killer." He informs him, as if my mate didn't know that already.

"But I don't kill anyone who doesn't deserve it." He repeats.

"Whatever." Joseph says with an eye roll, clearly not believing him.

"Really, all of the people that I have killed are people that killed someone, so I'm actually the good guy who is trying to protect the people, but the police doesn't see it that way.

If I didn't kill all those people, then they would have killed a lot more, so it was worth it." Nicolas tells us.

"And how do you know where to find them?" Joseph asks, now interested in this conversation.

"I have my ways." He says, and when Joseph questions about it again, Nicolas refuses to answer the questions.

So this leaves Joseph a bit frustrated, because he really wanted to know everything about it.

When we reach the pack house, I lead Nicolas to the hospital, and Joseph tells one of the guards to tell Denver to come here.

The Doctor takes Nicolas to one of the rooms, and at first, he refuses to let us in, but Joseph explains the situation to him, and the Doctor agrees to let him come in, so I sneak inside too.

Doctor Chris don't bother to kick me out of the room, he's most likely a bit scared of Nicolas, and I can't blame him.

He starts to examine my mate's leg, and I give him a blanket to cover himself, because it's pretty cold here because werewolves prefer to be in colder rooms.

I watch as Doctor Chris stitches my mate's leg, and I'm really happy that I never had to go through something like this, because it looks horrible, and painful, even though I know that my mate got some painkillers, and he can't feel it at all.
