Nicolas' POV

When I wake up, Joshua is still asleep, so I go downstairs to make us some breakfast.

I'm sure that he won't like the fact that he sleeps this long, but he has trouble sleeping lately, so I would like him to sleep for a bit longer.

When I enter the dining room, Timmy is already here, along with Peter, who looks excited to see me.

He must be really bored if he finds me exciting, but I won't tell him that.

"Do you want to go with us to see a deer?" He asks me, and I look at Timmy.

"Carter said that there is a deer somewhere not far from our house, so I wanted to show Peter how it looks like, it's not very common for a deer to come into the pack lands, we usually only have some squirrels and birds." Timmy explains.

"I can go with you if you want me to." I tell Peter, and he jumps happily in his seat.

"Let's got then." Pater says.

"We have to eat first." Timmy tells him, pointing to their plates, that are still full of food.

"Okay." Peter says, and then he starts to eat.

I make myself a sandwich, and I eat it slowly, then I wait for them to finish their breakfast, before we go out.

"Which way are we going?" I ask Timmy, and he points behind the house.

"I'm not very good with following scents, because I'm am Omega, but if we will go this way, I should be able to catch the scent soon." He tells me, and I nod.

I don't really like the woods, because it seems that something bad is happening every time that I walk through them.

But I'm living in the middle of the woods, so I doubt that to will be able to avoid them forever, which means that I have to force myself to not be scared.

I still have the knife with me, I have washed it, and now it's ready to be used again, although I really hope that I won't have to use it.

We walk around the woods for about half an hour, until Timmy finally catches the scent of a deer, so we follow it, but when we reach the place that the smell is coming from, there's no deer in sight.

"I'm sure that it comes from here." Timmy says, and he walks around the tree to see if the deer is somewhere close.

I look behind me to see where Peter is, and then I see a person sitting on a tree, and they have a gun pointed at Timmy.

They don't seem to realise that I can see them, since their attention is on Timmy.

So, I take my knife out, and I throw it at them.

It hits this person straight in the forhead, and they fall from the tree, which makes Timmy turn around.

I quickly take the gun front the dead man, and I look around to see if I will find some else.
