The Prison Was Easier

Chapter 47

Josh's POV

Today is a family day again, and my brothers should be here any moment, so I drag my mate down the stairs, and we go straight to the back yard, because in a few minutes it will be a lot more difficult to find a good place to sit.

We decide to sit under the tree, which isn't my favourite place, but it's very warm, and the shadow that comes with this place will be useful later on.

We talk for a few minutes, before Scott comes into the back yard with his kids and mate following him.

We greet each other, and then they go to sit on the other side of the back yard, which I fine with me, because I would like Wyatt to sit close to me.

Next comes Ryker and his brothers, three of them run towards me to give me a hug, while the last one goes to play with Scott's kids which makes me roll my eyes.

"It's very nice that you greeted me, Raven." I say, and he turns around to look at me with an innocent smile.

"Hi." He says, before he turns back to play with the other boys.

A few minutes later, Tylers mate comes here with the kids, while Tyler most likely stayed behind, to talk with papa as he usually does.

The younger kids greet me, but the eldest hides behind his father.

Valentin is an Omega, but I don't remember him being this shy when he was a small kid.

I smile at him anyway, deciding to not pressure him into a conversation.

Then Reggie and Tyler come outside, with Reggie's mate close behind.

I know that my parents are still angry at Reggie for hitting his son, and Reggie's angry because papa threatened him to take his kids away.

So, I doubt that the two of them will be talking tonight, and I'm surprised that Reggie's even here.

The kids most likely forced him to come here, that's the only explanation that I can come up with.

A while later, the twins and Hugh come here too, with the babies in their hands, and their mates by their sides.

Not much later, Wyatt and Elliott come here with their families, and my parents follow right after them, along with my younger brothers.

"Where's Denver?" I also them, because he and his family are the only ones missing.

"They will be here in a few minutes." Dad tells me, and he goes to sit down not very far form me, while tata goes to the other side of the back yard to talk to some of my brothers, and papa goes to see talk to Scott.

But he soon comes over to Wyatt, who's sitting almost right next to me, and they start to talk about something stupid, which makes me roll my eyes.

I look at my mate to see that he's not amused about the conversation either, so we decide to move somewhere else, which makes Wyatt and his family laugh.
