Tom x Jake [Nightmares]

I have found a prompt to write and I decided to write a Tom x Jake oneshot for this. Hope yall enjoy it :)

Tom gasp quietly as he woke up from his recent nightmare. He shakes nervously and in panic. He looks around the place and sees that he is safe in his new home next to Jake.

Poor Tom is so shaken up that he didn't notice tears pouring out of his eyes or that Jake just woke up by his sobs.

"Tom, are you having nightmares again?" Asks Jake gently. Tom nods and chokes up, causing Jake to gently hold the scared male in his arms. "It was about my past....... I-I wish I could've forget about all of it. I wish I was born into a normal live" admitted Tom..

"Tom...... Don't worry, you're safe now. You're no longer alone" whispers Jake. "I'm safe?" Asks Tom with tears. "You're safe. You're always safe here" answers Jake gently.

After a couple of minutes of Tom crying and Jake comforting him, the former finally went back to sleep. Jake smiles at his sleeping boyfriend and kisses his forehead before carefully holding his ungloved hand.

"Goodnight Tom. Remember I'll be with you when you get another nightmare" whispers Jake before falling asleep as well.
