The explosion didn't cause any damage but it was close enough for the whole coffee shop to shake. Camie didn't even have time to hear people screaming that she felt someone pulling her into their arms. Théa surrounded her head of her hand and maintained her in place with her arm around her waist. Once the tremor was passed, Théa pushed Camie a bit away to have a look at her face:

"Are you okay?"

Théa looked very worried about Camie but the latter was more worried about the explosion:

"What street are we on?"

Théa didn't answer immediately, asking Camie again if she was fine:

"Are you hurt anywhere?

-What is the name of the street?"

Camie had a horrible sense of direction. Did she follow Théa closer to the attack without knowing? Were they on the street of the Bank that would be attacked? Camie didn't have time to find out because the next thing she realized was that the dog was still outside. She tried pushing Théa away but the latter was stronger than she would have thought:

"Camie, we should get you somewhere safe.

-Let me go!

-Follow me. I will protect you.

-I told you to let me go! I don't care if people die but dogs can't!"

Théa finally let go and Camie ran out of the coffee shop to protect the dog. Fortunately the dog was perfectly fine but Camie had been so worried that she crumbled in front of him and hugged him very close to her:

"Thank Black Gold, you are fine. Thank you. Thank you..."

She felt tears swelling up and she let them flow while rubbing her face against his fur. But she quickly had to get it together because people continued running and screaming around them and that made the dog panic too:

"It's okay, baby. You are going to be fine, don't worry."

This wasn't how Camie had imagined her little outing with Théa but now the most important thing was to protect this innocent being. She didn't even care if Black Gold got insulted by the journalists anymore. The dog just took top priority in Camie's heart and she was ready to do anything to protect him.

A few people did push Camie because of the panic and she let them run all over her, hugging the dog close to protect him from the crowd. The whole time she continued petting him while saying in a soothing voice:

"You are okay. We are okay."

Camie was ready to carry the dog again and ran away but she didn't need to do anything because the next second Black Gold showed up. Not Théa but literally Black Gold, uniform and everything.

Seeing Black Gold in the middle of a panicked crowd was a very interesting event to witness. People completely forgot that they were supposed to run away and most of them took their phones out to film what would happen. It was almost funny at that point and Camie couldn't help smiling.

Now that people had stopped running all around the place, Black Gold had no trouble finding Camie and she walked up straight to her. While she was walking, a mom ran up to Black Gold to ask her to help her get her baby in a safe space but Black Gold straight out ignored her and rushed to Camie before kneeling down in front of her:

"Are you okay?"

Camie got so surprised by what she just saw that she forgot to answer. Did Black Gold just ignore someone? That was impossible. Théa always accepted everyone's requests and at the end she was the one who drowned under them. Camie had wished so many times that she could think more about herself and stopped doing everything everyone asked.

"Are you hurt?"

Camie finally snapped out of it and quickly shook her head:

"No. But the dog..."

Camie hugged the dog closer to her:

"He is scared."

Théa looked at Camie for a few more seconds before frowning:

"Did you run into the middle of a crowd just for that?"

Camie could feel that Black Gold was getting angry but that question made her angry in turn:

"What do you mean just for that? I would die for this dog.

-Don't say that."

Camie was going to argue more but soon she realized that this wasn't the time or place. Camie pointed at the crowd filming them:

"Could you help me get the dog somewhere safe?"

She didn't need to ask twice. Black Gold made the dog levitate with her powers before walking up to Camie:

"Can I?"

Having no idea what she was talking about, Camie just nodded. The next second she was being carried bridal style and having no idea where to put her hands, Camie just raised them in the air. Seeing her do so, Black Gold said:

"Put your arms around my neck. Tell me if you get scared."

The next second Black Gold pushed herself away from the ground and levitated a few seconds before landing on a roof. Camie felt her heart do roller coasters and she started clinging onto Black Gold more and more, scared to look down. After a few more jumps, Black Gold finally stopped and looked down at Camie:

"Are you okay?"

Camie didn't dare say anything and just quickly nodded.

"May I put you down?"

Black Gold couldn't breathe at this point but she didn't want to put Camie down if she was scared. Realizing that Black Gold wasn't moving anymore, Camie finally opened her eyes. Seeing that they were on a safe surface, she suddenly pushed Black Gold away and pushed her so hard that she almost fell off. Black Gold immediately pulled her back:

"Careful.

-Sorry. Y-you can let me d-down now."

Black Gold immediately let her down and she made sure that Camie was stable before pulling her hands back.

"Please stay here. I will be back in a second."

Black Gold turned around but Camie immediately grabbed her arm:

"Where are you going?

-Don't worry. I will quickly catch the villains and will immediately come back. You won't even notice that I am gone."

Black Gold tried going away again but Camie strengthened her hold around her arm:

"No!"

Both of them got surprised by Camie's scream and the latter immediately let go, her cheeks red:

"Can't you stay? You always show up but you don't have to. There are so many other heroes. Why would you always go? If they need you they will call you. There isn't even an alarm yet so it shouldn't be anything serious."

Black Gold sighed:

"I have to...

-But you don't. You showed up every single time for 8 years. You deserve a break more than anyone. Don't tell me that they can't go a single day without you. People will complain no matter what you do so might as well do whatever you want.

-I...

-Please... Just this once. Stay here with me. You will feel much better I promise."
