After days without hearing from Camie, her friends started worrying and texted her on the group:

"Camie? Are you okay?"

Camie hadn't spent time on her phone since she arrived at Théa's house but she noticed the notification by chance. Seeing the question made her frown and she answered:

"Why wouldn't I be?

-Camie! You finally answered. We started getting worried."

Camie laughed and seeing her do so, Théa couldn't help being curious:

"Did something happen?"

Camie shrugged:

"Emma is worrying for nothing as always. She is asking me if everything is fine but we talked only two days ago."

Camie scrolled back in the conversation but the longer she was scrolling the deeper her frown got. She couldn't find her last message which was very weird. How could her friends talk so much in the group in only two days? Did something happen?

Camie soon realized that the reason she couldn't find her last message was because of how much time she had spent at Théa's house. She didn't stay two days at all and looking at the ate, Camie realized that she had spent six days at Théa's house.

"Oh!"

Théa looked at Camie with a frown:

"Is everything okay?

-I stayed here six days."

Théa didn't understand where this conversation was going but she still nodded:

"Yes.

-I am so sorry."

Camie started picking up her things. She didn't understand how she could have stayed so long. She didn't feel time go by and she felt terrible. Théa must have waited for her to leave for hours but she just continued staying. How could she impose herself of the sort?

"I am so sorry.

-Why are you apologizing, Camie?"

Camie ignored Théa's question and continued looking for her things. Her clothes had been washed by Théa by then and she was wearing Théa's clothes. Camie looked down at what she was wearing and suddenly started taking the clothes off. Théa immediately blushed from head to toe and she forced herself to look away:

"Camie? I don't want to bother you but may I ask you what you are doing?"

Camie stopped with the shirt half up and looked at Théa with a frown:

"I am giving you your clothes back.

-Why?"

Camie blinks a few times:

"You're right. They're dirty. I should wash them first. I'll wash them at home and give them back to you as soon as possible."

Théa couldn't help frowning:

"Are you going home?

-I should be. I stayed here way too long."

Théa wanted to insist for Camie to stay more but she could see that she had already decided and she didn't want to sound clingy. Therefore she just pinched her lips:

"I am very glad that you came. You can come back whenever you want.

-Next time you should come to my house."

Théa froze:

"Can I come to sleep at yours?"

Camie frowned:

"Why couldn't you? I just spent 6 days here. That's the bare minimum. I'll make us dinner and we'll watch a movie in my bed."

Théa couldn't help blushing. That sounded perfect.

"I would love that."

Camie smiled:

"Great."

Camie opened the door and Théa followed her outside:

"Would you feel pressured if I walked you home?

-You just housed me for almost a week.

Camie finally left Théa's house and it felt as if she had completely forgotten about the outside world. She needed a long time to remember where she was living and did turn the wrong way a few times. At the end she had no idea where she was anymore and she decided to go with it.

It was a pleasantly warm day and Camie walked around aimlessly, staring at flowers. She rarely had time to look around when she was walking and she suddenly realized how fascinating nature was.

As she was promising herself that she would pay more attention to nature in the future, Camie suddenly noticed an interesting tree. It had two types of flowers on different branches. One of them was pink while the others were white. Camie walked closer to understand how that was possible. The flowers didn't look alike at all and when she walked closer she realized that the tree she was looking at was two trees having merged together.

Camie continued staring at the unique view, trying to understand where the two trees were separated. After a few minutes, she took out her phone and took a badly focused picture. She wanted to send it to Théa. She would have loved to see the latter draw this tree.

Camie went back to walking while typing her message to Théa. Just as she was walking, Camie suddenly felt a force pushing her forward. She let go of her phone which shattered on the ground. Just like her phone, Camie rolled a few times on the ground before crashing into a wall. She did get her breathing cut short and she opened her mouth wide, gasping for air. At first she had no idea what was going on. All she could think about was getting her breathing back on track. After a few seconds she could look up again to see what was going on.

The first thing Camie saw was fire. It was coming from everywhere around her. Multiple people rushed past Camie, trying to flee from what had happened while tens of people were laying on the ground just like Camie. No one stopped to help Camie and someone even stepped on her hand. Camie pinched her lips, holding back a cry. Looking down at her hand, she noticed that it was covered in blood. It didn't seem severe but having someone step on it still hurt. Camie must have grazed herself as she was rolling on the ground and she found herself wondering how long it would take to heal.

Camie forced herself to focus and jumped on her feet to avoid having another person stepping on her. She knew that she had to run away but she couldn't move. She looked at the other people on the ground that didn't have the strength to get up. Among them was an elderly woman and Camie knew she would hate herself if she just left her there.

In a second her decision was made and she rushed to the elderly woman. Just as she was about to ask her if she was conscious, Camie heard someone laugh. She turned towards the noise by reflex.

A man surrounded by flying metal objects of various origins was walking closer and closer to Camie. He was smiling broadly and it seemed he had a lot of fun attracting everything made out of metal and projecting it against buildings or even people. The few conscious people left around Camie started screaming while running away. The man watched them run around with an evil smile. He seemed to really enjoy scaring them. Camie didn't care what would happen, she wouldn't give that man that pleasure.

The man finally noticed Camie and propelled a street lamp towards her. Camie didn't move an inch and continued staring at the man, her head held high. That seemed to surprise the villain who quickly regained his smile. He threw another object towards Camie and this time it grazed her cheek. Camie flinched but still didn't look away, her eyes dark. Seeing her determination, the villain laughed:

"You are an interesting one. It will be that more satisfying to hear your scream."

The man continued walking towards Camie slowly. The latter knew that she should run but for some reason she wasn't worried at all. She just sat there, knowing that everything would be fine.
