Akari quickly ran home...

I wasn't in tears, I was scared.

What the heck was Kurayami thinking! Why was he acting so weird? Why would he say something like that? I thought we were just friends...

I got home and quickly shut the door and ran up to my room. My mom looked over confused. I slammed my bed room door shut and tossed my bag on my bed and jumped on it and shoved my face in my pillow.

A jingling bell noise could be heard and Bluebell emerged from my school bag.

"Sheesh, you could be more gentle." They stated.

I looked over, half of my face still covered. I take my glasses off and sit up. I pick up Bluebell and hug them.

"I'm sorry Bluey, I was so out of it I forgot you were in my bag." I rub my face on their fur.

Bluebell protests and tries to shove me off with their little paws. "Alright alright I get it. Get your wet face off me. You're smothering me."

Huh tears?

I touch my face. My face was stained with tears.

"That's weird. Why am I crying? I didn't think I felt sad about what happened." I stated.

Bluebell shakes their head. "Well, maybe you do actually like Kurayami. You're just in denial and never experienced these types of emotions before. Maybe you're sad cause you, sorta rejected him."

My face turned to shock. "I thought... I thought I only liked him as a friend? But it made me uncomfortable... I didn't know that he liked me like that. It isn't my fault, is it? Was I giving him the wrong idea? Weren't we just doing normal friend things?"

Bluebell floats up in the air by my face. "Oh great, now you're both confused and in denial."

I shake my head with my hands on my hair. "You're confusing me even more!"

I flop into my pillow again.

"Come on, it's not that confusing. You have two options. Either you can confess your feelings to him if you feel the same. Or, just reject him and try to stay friends." Bluebell says floating by my head.

I lift up my head. "Or, how about option three? I pretend like nothing happened and just don't say anything to him."

Bluebell sighs.

"Do you still want to be friends with him? Or more than friends?" Bluebell asks.

I glared at bluebell. "None of this weird romance started until you showed up. It's your fault Bluey."

"Hey no it's not! It's just, a coincidence. I just so happen to be a romance expert. And a very good priced therapist."Bluebell tells me.

I reach up and rub my head. "This is all giving me a headache."

Bluebell's bell jingled. "Oh, I have an idea. How about you go get us some ice cream out of the freezer downstairs!"

I sit up on the edge of the bed. "Oh no, not after what happened last time in the kitchen. I'm not letting you anywhere near there after it almost caught on fire!"

Bluebell laughs. "Well then you better catch me!"

Bluebell darts off and flies towards the door and magically goes through it.

"Hey that's cheating! Bluey come back!" I tear up the floor trying to run as fast as I could and scamper down the stairs.

I slide around the corner and I see that mom wasn't in the kitchen anymore. There was food boiling on the stove. She must be talking to dad in the living room.
