In the bustling night city of New York, The City That Never Sleeps, Alexandria walked quickly back to the temporary home she had gotten herself. It was her first week in New York and it proved to be a challenge, adjusting to such a crowded and populated city.

Many rowdy people loitered around the sidewalk but Alexandria paid them no mind. But when she caught a scent of blood, she felt something begin to protrude from her gums. Alexandria hung her head low and pulled down the tip of the black cap she wore to cover her eyes. Her senses went into overdrive and she could hear the many heartbeats around her. Alexandria could hear the very blood coursing through their veins. But she continued walking on, picking up her pace as she took deep breaths and pushed through her urges. Eventually, she overcame them and the pain in her gums subsided.

As Alexandria was walking down the sidewalk, she caught sight of a vintage muscle car parked next to the sidewalk. Getting a closer look at it, she recognised it as a 1979 Aston Martin V8 in a beautiful dark green finish. With her dad as a car mechanic, she had knowledge herself of the topic but her father was always a big fan of the vintage Aston Martin muscle cars. She chuckled to herself, knowing that her father would've loved just seeing the car in person.

She was brought out of her thoughts when a man stood in front of her. "What're you looking at?" the man scoffed and looked at Alexandria up and down.

The hybrid narrowed her eyes. "Is this your car?" she asked and pointed to the car they were standing next to.

"What's it to you?" he scowled.

Alexandria smiled and took a step closer to him and stuck her hand out in front of him, palm facing up. "Give me the keys. And while you're at it, give me the jacket too," she compelled and the man's expression dropped. Taking the keys out of his pocket, he placed it in the palm of her hand and took off his leather jacket to give to her. "Forget we met. You got sick of the car and ended up giving it away," she added, patting him on the shoulder and pushing him lightly to turn around.

The man began walking away without another word, forgetting the interaction and continuing on with his night.

"I'm getting good at that."

Alexandria smiled to herself as she wore the leather jacket over her shirt. It was slightly oversized on her, but she thought it was perfect. Although, before she could unlock the car, she saw a figure in her peripheral vision.

She turned her head slightly to inspect it further but immediately shot her head back when caught a glimpse of short, brown hair. Alexandria moved her hand to hover over her stomach and started to grip at the fabric as she left the presence lingering around her. She knew exactly what it was and dared not to look back.

She kept her eyes forward to the car in front of her, waiting till she felt it fade. She dared not even to blink but her breath got caught in her throat as she saw the figure's reflection in the glass window of the car. Alexandria shut her eyes and tilted her head down to the ground instead.
