The rest of Alexandria's day was spent holed up in the library. A stack of textbooks next to her, a notebook in front of her and a pen in hand. The pack vote was all she could think about after she left the gym and it was slowly eating away at her. So, instead of waiting idly for the inevitable, Alexandria got busy with tackling her workload.

She had barely made a dent in it and the more time she spent looking over countless books, the more she wanted to give up. But Alexandria knew this was her last chance. If she screwed up one more time, she would be expelled and never allowed to step on school grounds. So, Alexandria persisted for what felt like hours.

As Alexandria continued to work, Josie and Lizzie entered the library. The two witches spotted Alexandria and like she had been doing recently, Josie urged her sister to move along and ignore the girl.

But Alexandria heard the hushed whispers and her attention was finally taken off her task. Her eyes locked with Josie's and she froze in her spot.

Lizzie could feel the awkwardness radiating off the two of them and decided to step in to alleviate the tension. "Alex, if you're still here, I'm assuming our dad let you stay," Lizzie observed and gave the girl a bright smile, truly happy that her friend would continue to attend the Salvatore School.

Alexandria stiffly nodded as she tapped her pen against her free hand. "Apparently it wasn't up to him but yeah... I've been given a second chance. Is that alright with you guys?" Alexandria asked with uncertainty.

Before Lizzie could respond, Josie cut into their conversation, "I think I'm just going to study up in our room," she directed towards Lizzie as she glanced at Alexandria with a tight smile.

Josie quickly slipped away with her belongings, leaving Alexandria and Lizzie alone. The blonde sighed as she watched her sister leave the library before she took a seat across from Alexandria. Alexandria narrowed her eyes at the action as she fully expected the witch to follow after Josie.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm your friend, not some alien," Lizzie commented as she saw the puzzled expression on her face.

"I would've thought that you would be treating me like Josie has been," Alexandria voiced but felt her shoulders relax as for once, someone else was treating her like a normal person other than Jed and Hope in the Salvatore School. "I am sorry, though. I'm the reason that you got shot and I hurt you. I'm sorry, for all of it," Alexandria apologised as her eyes went downcast.

Lizzie sighed as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm not mad at you," she confessed and Alexandria looked back up at her confused.

"You're not?" Alexandria quietly uttered and Lizzie nodded. "Why?"

"Don't get me wrong, I'm annoyed that you used me as a meat shield and broke my wrist but I forgive you," Lizzie reassured her lightly and Alexandria chuckled. Lizzie took a moment to gather her thoughts which left Alexandria anxious. "But also... in a way, I can understand what it's like to not be in complete control of yourself," she said more seriously as her tone dropped. "And when you're not... you can do some things that you don't mean to do. But that's not a true reflection of who you are," Lizzie concluded as she let her hands fall to her lap.
