As the week rolled by, Hope spent much needed time with her family. The void that filled her heart before disappeared as she was reminded of what Always and Forever meant. During that same time, the Mikaelson family grew to love Alexandria.

Alexandria already unknowingly won over Freya. With Hope's many stories about her, the eldest Mikaelson knew much about Alexandria. And luckily for the girl, she had lived up to the stories as Freya witnessed Alexandria's ever-growing love for her niece.

Alexandria and Keelin were able to find a sort of kinship with one another due to their werewolf nature. While Nik was just excited as Alexandria would secretly spoil him with new toys.

Like Kol predicted, he and Alexandria surprisingly got along well despite their differences. Magic was one of the things that Kol and Davina were able to bond over with Hope. But Alexandria's lack of magic proved to be a little obstacle between them. It was safe to say that if Kol ever met Alexandria in New York, he would've gotten along with her much quicker, but as of now, their relationship was slow and growing.

Marcel liked Alexandria as he saw that her intentions for Hope were nothing but pure. Rebekah shared the same sentiment but was worried for her niece. While she was a hopeless romantic, Rebekah had also experienced many heartbreaks in her immortal life. She understood what it could do to a person and only wished Alexandria would treat her niece with nothing but kindness.

But there was one thing that the Mikaelson family all agreed on, they only wanted the best for Hope and they would wage a war if she so much as asked for it.

On the days that Hope wasn't spending with her family, she spent with Alexandria, showing her all the things that New Orleans had to offer. Hope was overjoyed that she was able to share Alexandria, the place in which she grew up. Mystic Falls would always be home to her, the students, her family, but New Orleans was where it all began. Where her heart felt the most full.

Alexandria learned all of Hope's favourite shops and restaurants as Hope rambled on about moments in her childhood. Moments like how she and her mother would often go out on the weekends to enjoy breakfast at their go-to cafe and the few moments she saw her father and he would spoil her rotten with beignets from the bakery she claimed was the best in all of New Orleans.

But all good things must come to an end and unfortunately Hope and Alexandria's trip was nearing one. They had one day left of their holiday before they would have to return to Mystic Falls. Although, the night was still young and Hope trudged through the front doors of the Abattoir with Alexandria in tow.

The two girls made their way up to the Mikaelson's bedroom. As Hope entered her room, she made her way to the balcony and leaned against the railing. Alexandria followed and wrapped her arms around Hope's waist from behind, giving her a soft kiss on the side of her temple.
