Alaric hadn't had a wink of sleep. With most of the students cleared out for the weekend, either hanging out with friends or helping set up for Commonwealth Day, Alaric had met up with Hope and Lizzie in the school's library. The former Headmaster managed to access the school's stash of wolfsbane and vervain, plus his own crossbow. With the hybrid on the loose, Alaric didn't want to take any chances.

"Commonwealth Day is around the corner and we need to find and capture her fast before Mystic Falls becomes crawling with literal blood bags ready for the picking for a very hungry and pissed off hybrid," Alaric rushed out his words without a single pause.

Hope and Lizzie were stunned at the man's panic and watched him take a deep breath. "Isn't this all a little bit excessive? I mean, this is Alex we're talking about. Just how much damage can she do?" Lizzie questioned her dad, her voice shaky and unsure as she watched him load up his crossbow.

"A lot," Alaric answered quickly as he looked his daughter dead in the eye. "This isn't the same old Alex that you know. She's completely void of any empathy and compassion, meaning that she would have no problem ripping into the necks of anyone who walks in her way, including her friends. So, we need to find her and we need to find her fast," he explained to them but before he could continue ranting, he was stopped by a voice.

"No need, I'm right here," the voice announced and everyone turned around to see Alexandria sitting in the middle of the library. Her legs propped up on the table as she balanced herself on the chair, rocking back and forth slightly. She gave off a very carefree and laid-back attitude as she wiped off fresh blood from her bottom lip.

Alaric grew angry, knowing well that there were probably numerous bodies waiting to be found in town and he quickly raised his crossbow up. The two girls freaked out and yelled at the man to think before he did something rash.

"Dad!" Lizzie yelled out.

Alaric ignored his daughter as he stared down the scope of his crossbow. "What are you doing here?" he questioned as he held his weapon firmly.

Alexandria cocked her head to the side. "I live here. In case you forgot," she deadpanned. "I should be asking you that question anyway," Alexandria taunted him with a smile which only made the man place his finger over the trigger.

The hybrid's smile dropped. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. I'm a lot faster than you are," Alexandria threatened lowly as she stood up.

"Dr. Saltzman! Put it down!" Hope pleaded with the man, knowing that they were incredibly underprepared for this situation.

But Alaric was stubborn and kept his weapon raised as the hybrid stalked closer to them.

"Or should I turn my attention to your daughter?" Alexandria suggested and Alaric faltered. He lowered his weapon slightly and stuck his arm out in front of his daughter, pulling her back a little as Alexandria moved closer. "There we go..." she dragged out her words as she gave him a once over.
