Recently, it was rare for the students at the Salvatore school to have a moment's peace. But in the days following the Merge, peace was exactly what they got.

Josie was free of the black magic, Alyssa and Rafael were able to return to the school after they were released and the Necromancer disappeared after his deal with the Headmaster. Everyone was able to get back to normal. Somewhat.

The prophecy was set in stone as Landon never resurrected from his latest death. There was not much about the history of phoenixes, but the Golden Arrow was definitely a fatal weakness. Rafael grieved his brother's death, but the Super Squad tried to stay positive to find any loophole.

As for the Gemini twins, it was strange as out of the both of them, Lizzie would be more likely to be receiving the cold shoulder from her peers, while Josie remained on good terms with them. But it was now the opposite.

After Lizzie's sacrifice and funeral service, the Salvatore students were a lot nicer to the witch. Their kindness was no longer faked in fear and rather given out of respect. While Josie had lost all the respect she had built. She received many crude looks and snide remarks behind her back and even in her face.

Many students found it unjust that Josie was able to return to the Salvatore school without any reprimand but she was the Headmaster's daughter. If anything, it was expected that she came out unscathed. Lizzie did her best to shield her sister but unfortunately, she couldn't be her bodyguard at every hour of the day. But she reassured Josie that it was only a matter of time before the Salvatore Stallions cooled off and moved on to something else.

Meanwhile, Alexandria was in a much better mood than most as she received some much needed good news. With a smile on her face, she weaved through the students as she passed by the dorm rooms.

Coming up to a certain door, she lightly knocked on the wood. After hearing a faint 'come in' from the other side, she entered to see Hope lost in thought as she stood in front of a canvas. Alexandria shut the door behind her took a seat at the edge of Hope's bed and peered around her to take a peek at her girlfriend's latest painting.

"You seem happy," the tribrid noted as she dragged her paintbrush over the canvas.

"Mhm," Alexandria answered as she leaned back on her hands. "Looks good so far," she complimented as she saw Hope's progress.

With more spare time on her hands, Hope was finally able to paint. Although, recent events seemed to linger on in her mind. It didn't help that the past few nights left her restless for reasons that were unknown to her. Sleep didn't come easy but when it did, it was plagued by odd visions. She was never able to make sense of them and every time she tried to recall them, she would be left at a loss. Hope kept them to herself and didn't tell anyone from the Super Squad or even her girlfriend. She didn't want anyone to worry over weird dreams that she couldn't even remember or understand.
