In the days following Lizzie's 'death', the Super Squad had to maintain their appearances for the Necromancer's spy. That meant grieving the loss of the blonde witch in public while preparing for her funeral.

Luckily the assembly room had been put off limits for those who weren't preparing the funeral so Lizzie was able to leave the confines of Alaric's office.

MG and Lizzie stared down at the casket of Hope's body cloaked as the Saltzman witch. It was hard for the vampire to wrap his head around the concept of seeing two Lizzies.

"I look so peaceful. Angelic, even," Lizzie commented as she stared at herself lying in the casket. "No wonder you had a thing for me," she added as she glanced at MG.

MG's brows furrowed as he closed the casket. "That's not why I had a thing for you," he quickly clarified. "And why are you speaking in the past tense? You're totally alive."

Lizzie walked over to the back room where several flower arrangements covered the few tables. "That wreath can't go there. That is where the doves are being released, which is after the video, remember?" Lizzie critiqued as she pointed towards the wreath that MG was carrying, completely ignoring the boy's question.

"No," MG said firmly as he placed the wreath down in the empty space. "Lizzie, this does not matter, okay? None of this is real. It's just a show," MG practically begged, already tired from running around the school completing Lizzie's errands.

Lizzie whipped around, a hint of shock on her face. "A show to convince Homicidal Hot Topic Josie that she actually killed me. So it better be a damn good one," Lizzie corrected and immediately went back to rearranging the flowers.

Just then, Alexandria walked into the room holding yet another flower arrangement with confusion on her face. "Lizzie you're supposed to be 'dead', why are you out here?" she questioned as she placed the decorations down on the table.

Alexandria looked at MG in question but the boy just shrugged. "If you're trying to play dead, managing your own funeral defeats the point," MG insisted.

Lizzie turned back again but with excitement instead. "I'm way ahead of you there. That is what this freakishly large ring is for," she declared as she brought out a large gold ring with a black gem in its centre.

MG and Alexandria stayed silent but as Lizzie slipped on the piece of jewellery, their eyes widened. The gem in the ring flashed bright red before Lizzie's appearance changed in front of their very eyes into none other than Hope.

"I'm unique and special. And for some reason, I'm really emo about it," Lizzie mocked while disguised as Hope. "Wait here while I go sacrifice myself unnecessarily," she continued as she placed her hands on her hips. "How'd I do?"

Alexandria looked somewhat mortified and immediately shook her head. "No. Nope. Absolutely not," Alexandria blurted out and diverted her gaze.

Before anyone could respond, footsteps approached the room and they all turned to see Alaric walking in, followed by Kaleb and Jed.
