"Okay, so what you're saying is, that the merge is this whole ritual/curse which involves twins mentally battling it out till the stronger twin absorbs the weaker twin, killing them in the process," Alexandria recited, her voice sounding unsure as she truly couldn't believe her own words.

Hope nodded slowly. "Yeah, pretty much..."

Alexandria paused for a moment as her own words replayed in her head. "Wow, that is messed up," she faltered as she went back to her previous task.

After the reveal of Josie's plan, Lizzie was quick to storm out of the gym and back to her room. She claimed she needed space to think alone so Hope and Alexandria reluctantly let Lizzie go off. That left the tribrid and hybrid duo to go back to researching. Now that they knew for certain what Josie's intentions were, they were able to brainstorm new ideas to try and stop Josie's latest black magic stunt.

Hope had several books on potions scattered on the library table while Alexandria was skimming through even more.

The moment Alexandria found something interesting, she stopped and turned to Hope. "Wait, what about this?" Alexandria said as she faced the book to Hope.

The Mikaelson lifted her head and let her eyes scan the page. Her eyes widened and she took the book from her hands to get a closer look. Alexandria waited anxiously as she began unconsciously tapping a finger against the desk.

"This could work," Hope announced, making Alexandria smile proudly. "Okay, so this potion will help keep the twins' consciousness separate when they merge. It would give me enough time to do a magic detox on Josie before we place her mind back into her body," Hope rambled as she continued reading through the page. "Bad news is, we have majority of the ingredients needed for this potion but there's a few which the school doesn't have," she mumbled as she grabbed a piece of paper and the closest pen to write down a list.

Alexandria tilted her head and read over the short list. She recognised a few names and started mentally figuring out where she could find specific items. "Leave that to me. I know a few places where I can get these," Alexandria offered and Hope handed the list to her. But when Alexandria went to place the list in her pocket, she stopped as she thought of something. "Going back to the plan, does this only work if Lizzie wins the merge?"

"Technically, yes," Hope answered quietly as she continued looking through her books.

"As much as I would like to think that Lizzie has a good chance against her, Josie is full of black magic. What happens in the situation where Josie absorbs Lizzie?" Alexandria questioned as she began to fiddle with the piece of paper in her pocket.

Hope exhaled slowly as her hands gripped at the edge of the table. "That's Plan A. We need a Plan B," she mumbled as she began pacing between the tables quietly in thought. "If Josie absorbs Lizzie, there will be a small window where Josie will be completely vulnerable," Hope began and Alexandria crossed her arms over her chest as she listened intently. "A window where someone could head dive me into Josie's mind," Hope proposed with excitement as she stood up straight.
