Chapter 5 – The Identity of the Boss was Exposed Part 1
Zu Jin had a bitter and sweet candy in her heart. When she returned to her home after leaving her mother’s house, this piece of candy was still choking her.
She began to feel unwell when it was approaching the late hours of the evening.
Could it be that she and Ms. Zu Hua were born to have restrictions1?
But after only seeing each other for a few minutes, she didn’t have to be so restricted that she’s hovering between life and death right?
She called the family doctor about her poor health. She said that she was vomiting and had diarrhea and urgently needed help.
After hanging up the phone, she suddenly remembered that she ate Japanese food at noon.
And she was eating with Yan Lin.

At the thought of this, Zu Jin not only felt unwell, but she also began to get a headache.
The doctor came at the middle of the night and examined Zu Jin. He said that she had acute gastroenteritis2 and needed an IV.
She could not go to work tomorrow. She must stay at home and rest for two days.

This doctor had known her for several years and understood her habits. Thus, he put on a fake smile and asked, “Do you think you’re still a little girl in your early twenties?”
Zu Jin’s face paled and she glared at him with her eyes full of threats. “What do you mean? Am I very old?”
But the doctor didn’t take the bait. He bowed his head and tidied up his medical kit. “You know it in your heart.”
The next day was Qiyu Corporation’s annual staff award ceremony. If Zu Jin did not appear, then it was bound to have a negative impact for her.
But with this kind of stomach illness, she would really seem like Lin Daiyu3 persisting to the ceremony and this made her dread the consequences of that even more.
So when dawn arrived, Zu Jin first called Xia Tong and explained a few work related matters to her.
Then, it was time to call Ji Desheng.
“Good morning, chairman.”
Ji Desheng laughed for a while and said in a loud voice, “Good morning, Xiao4 Jin.”
“Chairman, I can’t go to today’s award ceremony. I’m not feeling well, but I’ve explained how the ceremony should be conducted to Xia Tong. It’s just that if other people ask about me, you can say that I’ve left the country to discuss a project…”
Ji Deshen suddenly interrupted her with a series of words. “Wait a minute. Where do you feel unwell? Have you seen a doctor?”
Zu Jin never liked revealing her poor health to anyone.
This was because it made her feel like when strangers knew, they would take advantage of her poor health to hurt her and her interests.
But Ji Desheng was on the other side of the phone, and Zu Jin had no way to hide it.
“I suddenly vomited and had diarrhea last night. The doctor said it was acute gastroenteritis, but it’s not serious. I just have to rest for two days.”
Ji Desheng seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and his tone relaxed a little.
“All right. I wanted to take you to meet an investor after the ceremony today, but that person is also sick today. What a coincidence for you two.”
Zu Jin said, “Then it seems like it’ll have to happen on another day.”
“Yes. Take care of yourself at home. If you really can’t go to the hospital to get a proper checkup, then I’ll go see you later when I’m done.”

Zu Jin’s breathing became quicker.
But her stomach was still upset and when she was nervous, her body would shiver with the chills.
Zu Jin felt the ends of her hair stand up after shivering twice in a row.
“Oh, I see. Then chairman, you must be busy. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time.”
After waiting for the other side to hand up, Zu Jin threw the cell phone away and collapsed on the big bed.
She stared blankly at the white wall. Her mind was in a mess.
Chloe Investments?!
After emerging nine years ago in the international investment community, it developed rapidly and replaced the old-school foreign investment groups. Eventually, it leapt to the highest position in the international investment community.
The founder of Chloe Investments was their current boss. He was only known to be a Chinese person.
His English name was also very simple: Leo.
As for his Chinese name and any bit of specific information or photos, it was blank.

Zu Jin laid on the big bed and silently recited this English name. Then, she recited the name Yan Lin several times.

She invited Yan Lin to eat Japanese food and made him sick.

Zu Jin’s sight became darker and she fell asleep.
By the time she woke up, she had been stuffed into the quilt and had an extra hot water bag in her arms.
The bedroom was dark. She felt around to turn on the bedside lamp. Then, she put on her slippers and went downstairs.
She heard clattering noise coming from the kitchen downstairs. She thought Xia Tong had finished her work and came to take care of her.
But when she went down to take a look, it was her mother, Ms. Zu Hua, who was standing in the kitchen.
