Chapter 18 – Men Are All Waste After Thirty Part 1

It was early morning on the first day after their marriage.

According to the script in idol dramas, the male and female leads should either be lying in bed because they were too “tired” or be in the kitchen where the male lead was hugging the female lead from behind as they cooked a delicious breakfast together…

However, back to reality. It was after seven o’clock in the morning and the kitchen was indeed cooking up a breakfast, but no one was seen.

Yan Lin was sitting in front of the computer in the study. He was wearing a Bluetooth headset and holding a remote video conference with his employees.

And as for Zu Jin, she got up really late. She rushed out of the bathroom wrapped in a bath towel, and after quickly changing into clothes, she took her bag and ran downstairs.

When she passed by the study’s entrance, the two of them looked at each other. Zu Jin didn’t say anything when she saw him having a meeting, but made a gesture.

Yan Lin nodded, and Zu Jin instantly disappeared from the study’s entrance.

The flustered look of his wife was really funny. Yan Lin was talking about serious things in a meeting, but he was unable to control the corners of his mouth from suddenly rising.

Zu Jin reached the kitchen, gulped down a large cup of warm milk in a few mouthfuls, and stuffed a croissant into her mouth before leaving.

The car reached Qiyu. She pretty much arrived at work when it was about to start and went into the elevator.

Xia Tong had been waiting for her at the elevator entrance for a long time, and immediately followed her with the meeting materials when she came out.

“President Jin, engineer Wang and the others all had things to do this morning, so they started first.”

Zu Jin took off her coat and passed her bag to Xia Tong. Then, she took the meeting materials.

“How long has it been since they started?”

“…It’s been almost half an hour.”

When Zu Jin was working, she was like a female monster possessed by Zhou the exploiter1.

In order to create room for more time every day, meetings were held almost half an hour ahead of schedule. It was done that way so there would be more time that could be squeezed out to deal with other official duties.

As a result, the management leaders had been accustomed to her work patterns for a long time.

However, Zu Jin ended up being late today.

The moment she opened the door of the meeting room, Zu Jin felt like a criminal being paraded through the market.

She couldn’t help but sigh in her heart: Love really is an obstacle in my career!

However, thinking like this on the first day of marriage seemed a bit inappropriate…

After the meeting, she returned to the president’s office. Zu Jin was dealing with business documents when she found herself thinking too much about things.

When was the last time my great aunt came? I didn’t have a flash marriage and then a flash pregnancy, right? Should I buy a test when I get off work today?

What is Yan Lin doing at home? How is my villa being decorated right now?

Anyways, I can’t concentrate on work!

Zu Jin put down the pen and gloomily scratched her head. She simply gave up on continuing her work. ℙ????? ???? ?? ?????????.???

She called Xia Tong in. “Reserve a nearby restaurant for me. I’m going out to eat and will come back at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.”

After speaking, she took her bag and left.

After Zu Jin left Qiyu, she called Yan Lin first.

“Where are you?”

Yan Lin chuckled softly, “You’re not coming back for lunch, are you?”

Zu Jin cleared her throat. “Well, it’s too much trouble to go back. I’ll figure out lunch outside.”

“Okay, then I’ll eat it myself.”

She called another number after hanging up. This time it was her best friend, Liu Wei.

Half an hour later, Liu Wei appeared in front of her.

“What’s the secret that you have to call me out to tell me?”

Zu Jin coughed. “I’m married.”

“Married?” Liu Wei repeated. Suddenly, her eyes widened after three seconds. “What?! You are married?!”

Zu Jin blinked at her to confirm.

“Uh-huh. I got married yesterday.”

Liu Wei asked in disbelief, “With that boss from Chloe?”

“Yes, yesterday we met with both parents, and then we passed by the Bureau of Civil Affairs. We registered and received the certificate. After receiving the certificate, we signed the prenuptial agreement.”

Liu Wei trembled and gave a thumbs up. “Too strong. You can’t lose being the boss, and your ability to act is quick.”

When the food was ready, they began to move their chopsticks.

But after taking a few bites, Liu Wei suddenly asked, “By the way, how old is your husband?”

“36.”

Liu Wei turned her head and looked around, then lowered her voice, “Then how is his performance in that aspect? Men are all waste after 30, especially after 35. If that aspect fails, I’m telling you now to not endure it, and it is still not too late to leave.”

Zu Jin couldn’t help but smile and asked, “You mean, your husband…?”

Liu Wei sighed unhappily. “We have been married for so many years, and now we sleep together like brothers sharing a bunk bed. It doesn’t matter whether he can do it or not.”

“Yan Lin…cough is good.” Zu Jin’s cheeks reddened with shame.

It was natural for two mature women in their 30s to sit together and discuss this difficult topic seriously.

But just when Zu Jin was having fun with the conversation, she suddenly saw a familiar figure from her peripheral vision.

And the figure seemed to be walking towards her.
