Chapter 9 – Little Pretty Boy Yan Lin Part 2

Ji Shiyu was the only daughter of Ji Desheng and the apple of his eye.

In the past, Ji Shiyu lost all hope of inheriting the president position from her father because Zu Jin existed. Thus, she started her own company.

She had been using the title of Qiyu Corporation’s daughter to enrich herself, and freeloading on some benefits to her company in order to develop over the years.

Also, Ji Desheng declared in a righteous manner in front of the rest of the board of directors that his daughter would not be allowed to take advantage of the corporation.

But, he still hinted to Zu Jin that she could help her behind everyone’s back.

Zu Jin was like his right hand man. In any case, she tried to turn a blind eye as much as possible over the years as long as Ji Shiyu did not go too far.

So that’s why she had a headache every time this unexpected guest visited.

Ji Shiyu walked in with heels higher than 15 centimeters, while carrying the latest limited edition designer bag.

She sat down across from Zu Jin and immediately crossed her legs as the department leaders left the conference room.

“I heard that you are going to inspect the two factories in T City tomorrow? I’m going with you. I want to see their production line.”

Of course Zu Jin couldn’t hide where she was going for the business trip from this rich daughter.

She knew that even if the staff at the top floor of the corporation did not gossip, she could not stop Ji Desheng from letting her know.

After all, it was easy for Ji Desheng to know her itinerary.

Zu Jin packed up her meeting material. She looked up at her and said, “Did you start on a new project? The factories over there are all production lines in the precision manufacturing industry, and the production qualifications belong to the triple A level. Your company has not reached the annual rate of return goals, and you are absolutely not even qualified to participate in the competition to be in manufacturing.”

Ji Shiyu’s face changed for a moment and said impatiently, “Of course I know. Do you think you still need to teach me this?”

It was probably the insincere anxious tone that really offended Zu Jin. Ji Shiyu took a breath and made her tone a bit more mild.

“I just want to go learn and gain experience. Smartphones have developed well over the last few years. I want to compare the standards of various production lines. If I find the right opportunity, then I plan to transform the company in the future.”

It was true that the smartphone industry was developing vigorously right now but Ji Shiyu’s company was a clothing brand. It had nothing to do with smartphone technology, and Qiyu was not involved in the cell phone industry. Although Zu Jin thought that her way of thinking to learn was good, she had no contacts or technical resources. If she wanted to get involved, then it was probably not easy.

But Zu Jin did not attack her with these words.

This was because she felt that when Ji Shiyu followed her to see the complexity of the production process for the precision parts tomorrow, she would probably decide to give up on the spot.

When Ji Shiyu received her consent, she left feeling perfectly satisfied.

Zu Jin went back to the office to straighten up her things and planned to get off work early for the date. However, Yan Lin was faster than her.

He sent her a message saying that he had figured out a location of the date, but it was a little far away. Therefore, he was waiting downstairs in front of Qiyu Corporation for the two of them to go over there using one car.

Zu Jin could hardly wait to run down there at once as soon as she saw the message.

Zu Jin walked out of the building ten minutes later. She looked up and saw Yan Lin’s car parked by the side of the road.

When Yan Lin saw her coming out, he got out of the car and waved to her. After that, he opened the back seat door like a gentleman.

Although today was the weekend, there were still some employees going in and out of the building occasionally. Zu Jin slowly walked over in order to maintain her cold image as the president despite feeling excited.

However, when she reached Yan Lin and before they had time to speak, Ji Shiyu’s pretentious voice was suddenly heard from behind her.

“Wow, who is this?”

Zu Jin couldn’t stop herself from grinding her teeth in an instant. It was only under Yan Lin’s puzzled gaze did she turn her head around.

“You still haven’t left yet?”

Ji Shiyu came over with a smile like she could not understand the look in Zu Jin’s eyes.

Then, she didn’t even look at Zu Jin and held out a hand to Yan Lin. “Why don’t you introduce yourself to me?”

Zu Jin flipped her hair over her shoulder in frustration and turned to look at the man behind her that didn’t respond yet.

Yan Lin seemed to have sensed something. He glanced down towards her and smiled. After, he reached out to shake hands with Ji Shiyu.

“Hello, I’m President Jin’s friend, Yan Lin.”

Ji Shiyu clicked her tongue twice and looked at their glances with growing interest.

“He’s your boyfriend, isn’t he? I always thought you weren’t interested in men. Ah, hello, I’m Ji Shiyu!”

Zu Jin quickly glared at her. “What else do you need?”

Ji Shiyu raised her eyebrow. “Nothing. What are you panicking about? Come on. Mr. Yan, this is my business card.”

As she said that, she gracefully took out a business card from her bag and skillfully put it into Yan Lin’s hand.

But Yan Lin did not respond when he received it. She blinked a few times. “Hey, where’s yours? Do you like to look at your girlfriend’s face a lot?”

Yan Lin smiled slightly and opened his mouth to answer, but Zu Jin took the lead in rescuing him.

“He doesn’t have a business card.”

Ji Shiyu was quiet for a few seconds, then her expression became a little shocked.

She exclaimed incredulously, “No way! Zu Jin, you’ve found a little pretty boy… Uh. No, this one doesn’t look little.”

The author has something to say:

Zu Jin: Yes, yes, yes. He is my little pretty boy.

Ji Shiyu: Sure enough, she is the successor chosen by my father, but their acumens are different.
