"Oh, Candice, can you come shopping with me tomorrow?" Ali asked me as I sat on her bed and she looked through her closet.

"Sure. But I'm gonna need to get some clothes from my house," I respond looking through a magazine.

"You can borrow something of mine."

"Thanks. Hey Ali do you know-"

"Dinners ready," Ali's older brother, Jason, said leaning in the doorway.

"Okay. We'll be down in a minute," Ali said.

"Dad wants you to set the table," Jason said not moving.

"I'll be down in a minute."

"I'll go set it. It-"

"No, Candy it's fine," Alison said as I got up. "Let's go."

The three of us walk downstairs and into the kitchen. Ali and I grab plates and everything we need to set the table as Jason put ice in some glasses.

"Candice you didn't have to do that," Mr. Dilaurentis said walking in.

"No it's fine, Mr. D."

"I'm glad Ali has someone like you in her life," he said giving me a side hug.

"Me to."

"Let's eat," Mrs. D said walking in.

After dinner, I cleaned the dishes with Ali and Jason, then went upstairs with Ali to her room.

"I'm gonna go take a shower," I said grabbing my pajamas and stuff I need.

"Okay, we'll talk after?"

"Of course."

Walking into the bathroom, I feel like someone is watching me. Looking around, there's no one there.

After washing my hair and my body, I just let the water run down my body. Right when I was about to turn the water off, I hear someone in the bathroom.

"Hello?" I called. "Is some one in here?"

Quickly, I turned the water off and wrapped myself in a towel and my hair up.

Just as I was about to change, I see someone in a hoodie and a mask and back up against the wall, scared.

"Who are you?" I whispered.

Instead of answering, they put their hand on my throat and started choking me.

I grab their hand, trying to get it off, but it didn't work. I was starting to see spots, when the door opened and someone shoves the person off of me.

I slide down the wall with tears silently running down my face. I hear a crash, but am too scared to look.

"Are you okay? Candy, are you okay?" Jason asked worriedly.

I nod in response as the rest of the family walked in. Alison immediately went to my side.

They all kept asking me questions until Mrs. D said I should be left alone to change.

After I changed and hung up the towels, I walked to Ali's room where she was waiting.

"My parents called the police. They're freaked out and so are me and Jason. Candice, what happened in there?" she asked as I sat on the bed.

"I almost died," I said crying again.

Ali hugged me and I continued to spill tears. I can't stop crying, my body's shaking with fear.

"Candice Smith, I'm Officer Wilden. I would like to take you to the station for some questions," someone said walking in.

I nodded my head in agreement, standing up with Ali by my side.

"I'm going with her," she said.

"Of course."

We left to the police station where my parents were waiting for me. As soon as they saw me, they ran to me crashing me into a hug.

"I'm okay, I promise," I said trying to convince them and myself.

"Miss Smith? Please come with me, you will be out momentarily," Wilden said with me following him.

We entered a room and I looked around before sitting down in the chair.

"Can you please describe the attacker?" He asked.

"He was wearing a black hoodie and a mask."

After more questioning, they finally let me leave. My mom said I should go home with her, but I convinced her to drop me off at Alison's.

"I'm surprised you came back. How are you?" Jason asked opening the door for me.

"Shaken and scared as hell. But fine. Thank you for saving me by the way," I said.

"I would save you anytime."

"Candice, oh my god. My parents made me come home. Let's go upstairs," Ali said dragging me to her room. "I called the girls, their here. I hope that's okay."

"No, it is. Don't worry."

They all hug me when we get to Ali's room. When we pull away, I sit on the bed and look around the room.

"Don't ask me if I okay. I've been asked to many times," I said after a few minutes of silence.

"Well, Candice, you could've died. Its most-"

"Spence, I appreciate it I do. But, I want to go to bed and sleep. Then wake up as if nothing happened."

"But it did," Hanna asked.

"Yeah, Candy-" Emily started.

"Stop, okay?! I'm fine. I want to go to sleep," I said getting up and going to the living room downstairs, laying on the couch.

I soon fell asleep, and felt a blanket being wrapped around me. Slowly opening up my eyes, I see Jason and smile.

"My hero."

"Goodnight, Candy," he said then kissed my head.
