I couldn't face them. Anyone. Everything is so hard. If I just look at something, it reminds me if what happened in the dollhouse.

I've been in my room since I came home from the hospital. My parents have staid home from work since I came back, but it's no use.

I haven't talked to Alison and the girls, my parents or Jason. I'm so scared all the time, that Charles will come and find me.

"Hey," Hanna said walking in and sitting on my bed.

"Hey," I said looking at my hands.

"Do you wanna get some coffee?"

"No-"

"Please. We all miss you," Hanna said.

"Fine," I said getting up and getting dressed.

We went to the Brew, and everyone else looked up and smiled. I sat next to Spencer and she gave me her coffee. They started talking, but I zoned out and remembered something from the dollhouse.

As I look around my room, it's trashed. And a bunch of pictures of Jason filled the room. They were of him drinking again and researching.

All of a sudden, I feel a huge pain going through my body and I scream. As I fall to the ground, I see the video camera 'staring' at me.

"Candice, are you okay?" Emily asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah. I just remembered another thing that happened in the dollhouse," I said as everyone else left.

"My mom thinks that we all should go to therapy-"

"And what? Talk about what happened? I can't and I won't," I said.

"You don't have to. It's just an option. Do you want a ride home?" She asked.

"No thanks, I think that I'm gonna wait for my dad to pick me up. Besides, Ezra's here. I'll be safe."

"Okay, see you later," she said then left.

I sat on the couch and stared at the floor. It's just so difficult coming back. People stare and pretend to care to see if you're alright.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Jason asked sitting next to me.

"I'm fine," I lied and looked at him.

"Why are you lying?"

"Because maybe I'll believe it."

We sat in silence and I stared at the floor again and remembered something else.

"Please! Please no!" I screamed. "Don't make me choose. I'm begging you!"

Each day I had to choose who would get food and who wouldn't. If I didn't, I would get hurt. Worse than anyone could every imagine.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6..."

"Hey are you okay?" Jason asked putting a hand on my shoulder.

"No, and I don't think I ever will be," I said. "Can you take me home?"

"Sure, let's go," he said grabbing my hand.

We walked to his car in silence and drove to my house. When we get there, I'm hesitant to get out because my parents were out.

Being alone freaks me out, and I just mess with my fingers. I can feel Jason staring at me but I can't look at him.

"Can you stay until my parents come back?"

"Sure, no problem," he said opening his door.

We walk to my house and I head upstairs. Jason follows and we lay on my bed.

Eventually I put my head on his chest and fall asleep.
