It's been a year since Ali went missing and the Dilaurentis family moved out of Rosewood. Not even a goodbye. Guess I wasn't part of their family like they said I was.

Doesn't matter anyways. Aria left, and the rest of us don't talk much, except for me and Hanna.

The two of us still hang out all the time, and Mona is our new bestie too. The problem is A hasn't left me alone.

The bitch is still attacking me and I feel like he/she/it will attack the other girls too.

"Hey, Candice. You should change your look," Mona said as we waited at her locker for Hanna.

"Why?" I asked.

"So then you can say, 'after a year without someone I love, I have finally started over.'"

"Thanks Mona, you know you're a really great friend."

"Candice, did you Jenna today? She's back," Hanna said walking up to us.

"Yeah, I know. We have chem together. She's actually really nice," I responded on the way to my car.

"Don't you remember the 'Jenna thing'?"

"Yes, but I wasn't apart of it," I said getting into the drivers seat. "Mona, we'll meet you at the grille, okay?"

"Yeah, bye guys," she said then blew kisses.

"They found Ali's body," Hanna said as we waited for my car to warm up.

"I know, that means the Dilaurentis family will come back to have a funeral."

"How are you going to react when you see them?" She asked as I started to drive to the grille.

"I'm not. I won't go to the funeral. Ali was my best friend and she died. I already paid my respects. Besides her family is just a giant pain in the ass."

"Candice, I know you're hurt they didn't say goodbye, but-"

"It's not even that. I just can't see the person who has stuck by me whole life be buried into the ground."

"Okay, so what were you and Mona talking about at her locker?"

"She said I should change my looks, and I agree. Will you come with me after we eat something?" I asked as we parked the car and started to walk into the grille.

"Yeah, where?"

"I'm gonna get a nose piercing," I said sitting down at the table Mona was sitting at.

"Really? That's so cute! You can totally pull that off," Mona exclaimed.

The next hour was spent talking about what we should do this weekend, for my birthday. I said I didn't want to do anything, but they convinced me we should go bowling.

"Fine, but if I want to do this, I need to go right now. Hanna you coming?" I asked standing.

"Yeah, bye Mona," she said then stood.

We got to my car and drove to the piercing/tattoo place. I don't pay attention to what it's called.

When we walk in, I tell them what I want and they do it quickly. It didn't hurt at all. (The pic is above at the beginning of the chapter)

"How does it look?" I asked while waiting for my receipt.

"Amazing. You know, I think you should've done this a while ago," Hanna said as we walked out.

"Well, I'm glad I did it now," I said before I ran into somebody knocking their drink over their shirt. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry."

"It's fine," he said. "Candice? Hanna?"
