Hangovers. They suck. But the drinking part is fun. God, why do I let Jason do this to me?
I made coffee and took some aspirin for the headache. What happened last night? I remember the argument with Jason, after that everything is such a blur.
I decided to take a shower and get ready for the day. When I walk downstairs, I see Jason sitting at the counter reading the newspaper.
"Since when do you read the newspaper?" I asked making myself another cup.
"I'm only reading the comedy section. It's not that funny," he replied putting it down.
Silence. Awkward silence. Very awkward silence.
"So, how have you been?" I asked.
"Fine. You?"
"Fine," I replied taking a sip of my drink.
"So, about what you said last night-"
"Oh god. Did I embarrass myself?"
"No, but I wanted to talk to you about what you said."
"What did I say?" I asked sitting next to him.
"That you've been in love with me."
"Wow, great," I said looking away from him. "You don't need to say anything about it. It's probably some stupid crush I can't get over."
"I doubt it's that."
"So, why did you want to talk about it?"
"Because I-"
My phone goes off interrupting him, and I look at Jason apologetically before reading it.
You okay? I heard Jason took you home. -Hanna
I didn't respond. I looked back at Jason and decided it's now or never, and I want it to be now so I don't regret not doing it ever.
"Is everything okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine. Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, what?"
"Can you please not hate me when I do this?"
"Do what?" He asked.
I answered by kissing him. To my surprise he kissed back. We were making out for a couple of minutes when there was a knock on my door.
"I have to go get that. Don't move," I said standing.
"Okay," he said smiling.
When I open the door, I see Spencer. I'm surprised, but I let her in and lead her to the kitchen giving her some coffee.
"I'm gonna go. I'll see you later," Jason said then left.
"Bye."
"What is that all about?" Spencer asked.
"Nothing. What did you come over for?"
"When I was searching in the attic last night, I found pictures of Jason."
"Right, I totally forgot you did that for me. Thanks," I said as we walked to my couch.
"Welcome. How drunk did you get?"
"Very. But that doesn't matter. What were in the pictures?"
"It wasn't just that. There were letters in it as well. Letters to you," she said handing me everything. "Don't worry, I didn't read any of them, but I think A did."
"What else would be new? Thank you so much for doing this for me. And I'm sorry. For how I treated you at school, you were trying to warn me, but I didn't listen."
"It's fine. I don't have actual proof that A is Noel anyways. So, you going to Mona's party tomorrow?"
"Of course I am. Best friends remember? But the question is are you, Emily, and Aria going?" I asked.
"Sadly, yes. It may just get us one step closer to A."
"Thank god. You guys won't be alone, me and Hanna will be there."
We talked for a few more hours, then Spencer had to leave to go meet up with Toby. The other girls aren't the biggest fans of them being together, but I totally support it.
My parents aren't home as usual and I just start to clean the dishes. When I finish, I see that the rest of my house looks fine.
I text Jason and ask him to come over, which he says he will, and I get ready. I hope he doesn't think I'm a little kid.
"Hey," I said letting him in.
"Hey," he said. "What did you need?"
"To apologize," I said leading him towards my couch.
"Apologize? For what?"
"The kiss. I was stupid and I shouldn't hav-"
"Don't ever apologize for kissing me."
"Well, I have to. I said no when you asked me out and then I kissed you. That's not fair to you."
"Well, let's try it again."
"What?"
"Candice Smith, will you go out with me?" He asked.
"Yeah, I would love to," I said smiling.
"Good, let's go," he said standing.
"What? Now?" I asked.
"Yes. We are going to a dinner," he said pulling me out of my house.
"Fine. But you have to kiss me first," I smiled.
"Deal."
We kissed and then went to the most wonderful dinner. Even though it was at the grille I had the best date anyone could ever have.
The next day, I got ready for Mona's party and picked Hanna up on the way there.
"You excited?" I asked.
"No, I love Mona, but I really want to find A and investigate this bitch," she replied. "Im going to look for A tonight at the party."
"What? Hanna no. It's Mona's birthday. You can't do that."
"C-"
"Hanna, promise me you won't look for A when A can easily put you behind bars."
"I'll still be at the party, but I will spend one hour looking. If I can't find that person, I will go back and not look."
"Fine. But if Mona hates you for missing her party, I won't cover for you," I said parking.
"Why does she want it in the woods?" Hanna asked as we walked towards the party.
"Privacy maybe? Or to give us girls a camping trip."
"With massages?"
"Don't judge. You would've done the same thing," I said. "Happy birthday Mona," I said hugging her.
"Thank you. I'm do glad you his could make it," she replied hugging back.
"Of course. We wouldn't miss it for the world."
