It's been a few weeks since the attack, and tonight is the annual sleepover in Spencer's barn.
My job was to bring the alcohol, which I totally am able to do. I'm picking Alison up on the way over.
"Hey, Candy," Jason said as I walked in their house.
"Hey, Jason. Is Ali ready?"
"I can't go," she said walking in.
"Why not?"
"Because your attacker is still out there, and my mom is freaking out about it," she said as we walked into the kitchen.
"Can't you sneak out?"
"I'll try."
"Hello Candice," Mrs. Dilaurentis said walking in.
"Hey Mrs. D. I guess I'll see you tomorrow Ali," I said then went through their backyard to Spencer's.
"Candice, wait up," someone said behind me.
"Yeah," I said turning around. "Jason, are you okay?"
"Yeah, you forgot your bag," he said handing it to me.
"Thank you. Wouldn't want to lose it."
"Course not."
"Bye," I said kissing his cheek then leaving. "See you tomorrow."
"Y-yeah see you tomorrow."
As I walk over to Spencer's, I see everyone start heading to the barn. I rush to catch up with them and accidentally scare Emily.
"Sorry, Em. I brought the drinks," I said closing the door behind me and pulling out a lot of beer.
"Wow, do you think you got enough?" Aria asked.
"Shut up. Most are for me because most of you girls can't handle too much."
"Where's Ali?" Hanna asked sitting on the couch.
"She said she would try to sneak out because her mom won't let her come."
"Why not?" Spencer asked.
"Because of the person who attacked me," I said opening a beer and chugging it.
"Slow down horsey," Aria said grabbing one for herself.
"I just really needed that," I said grabbing another.
After a few hours, Ali showed up. A few minutes after, everyone passed out except for me and Alison.
"You need to stop drinking," Alison said taking a beer from my hand.
"Can't, helps me sleep," I said taking it back.
"Well, I'm gonna go back home," she said standing up.
"I'll walk you home," I said walking out with her.
"Go sleep," she said shoving me back towards the barn.
"Don't tell me what to do," I said shoving her back.
"Candice, I'm just trying to help."
"I know, I'm just too drunk to care."
"Hey, you guys okay?" Jason asked walking towards us.
"Yesssss," I said drunkily. "Jusssst fffffinnneee."
"Is she drunk?"
"Yep," Ali said and grabbed my arm dragging me back to the barn.
"Alison, I'll take her, you get back to your room. Mom said she's going to check on you in a few minutes," Jason said catching up.
"Okay, make sure she lays down and goes to sleep. I'll see you in the morning Candice."
"Bye," I said then staggered towards the barn.
Instead of going in, I went to the side and slid against the wall holding my stomach.
God I fell so sick. This is why people don't drink, but it makes me forget what happened.
"Candy, you okay?" Jason asked sitting next to me.
"I feel so freakin sick," I said putting my head on his shoulder.
"Well, how much did you drink?"
"Too much. Way too much. I'm gonna do something that I'm going to forget because of how drunk I am okay?"
"Yeah, what?"
I looked towards Jason and kissed him running my hands through his hair, pulling him closer.
"Goodnight Jason," I said then walked in the barn and laid down.
The next morning, I woke up to Aria freaking out and I had a major hangover.
After grabbing some medicine, I realized that she was saying that Alison and Spencer are missing.
"Guys, I don't know where Alison is," Spencer said walking in.
"Maybe she went home," Hanna said as we all walked out.
"Does anyone remember what happened last night?" I asked yawning.
"Well, I guess you were so drunk you don't remember anything," Emily said.
"Well, I have my reasons. Don't judge."
"Hey, can I borrow Candice for a minute?" Jason asked walking into Spencer's yard.
"Uh yeah, I have stuff to get from your house anyways then I have to go home, see you guys later," I said leaving with Jason.
"How do you feel?" He asked as we walked upstairs.
"Fine, considering the fact I have the biggest hangover of the century."
"Next time don't drink a lot."
"Shut up. You drink a lot more than I do and you do drugs."
"Touché."
"Why did you need me?" I asked as we walked in his room and I sat on his bed.
"Alison's missing."
"What?"
"After she said she was going to her room last night, she went missing. I should've went with her. You could've walked to the barn by yourself."
"Wait, what? We were together last night?" I asked standing. "What did we do?"
"Nothing. You kissed me and then went-"
"What?! I'm so sorry. I have to go," I said running out of his room and outside his house to run into Officer Wilden.
"Did you hear Alison Dilaurentis is missing? I was wondering if I could ask you and your friends a few questions," he said as Jason walked out.
"Yes, of course. Let's go," I said following him.
"Candice, wait," Jason said grabbing my hand.
"I'm sorry, but I have to go with Officer Wilden. I'll see you later Jason," I said then kissed his cheek. "Bye."
With that I pulled away and went again with the officer to the police station.
