TW: GUNS, BLOOD, HOSPITAL, KILLER, DEATH.
John Williams/Tah-En-Sacri
I was walking to the car when I heard people screaming and heard the gunshot.
And then seeing Ava collapse.
Everything was ringing. My vision became blurry and the only thing I heard was Kristin yelling and crying at her sister. My legs ran as fast as they could. She got shot in the stomach, bleeding out everywhere. I carried Ava to my car. Kristin sat in the back putting pressure on the wound.
I drove as fast as I can to the nearest hospital, where they immediately took her into the ICU. Kristin was crying and I stood there in shock until I looked at my hands.
They were covered in her blood.
I look at Kristin, who was calling her parents, and I run.
I run towards the car and drive to the place she was shot, which was quickly turned into a crime scene. There were police everywhere, taking pictures, collecting evidence and talking to the witnesses. I walked up to the detective who was in charge of this case.
"Where is that man?" I asked calmly, but the rage was clear in my eyes.
"Sir you are in an active crime scene contaminating evidence. Please leave and come to the police department tomorrow for your ques-" I interrupt him by grabbing his shirt collar.
"I SAID, WHERE IS HE??!" I yelled, the rage seeping out. The man looked at me in fear while all the other cops had their guns pointed at me.
"Put the guns down." He spoke. The officers put their guns down, but they still looked cautious. I let go of his shirt collar.
"We have two suspects locked in the interrogation room." He says, looking a little relieved that my hands weren't close enough to snap his neck.
I go to my car and drive to the police department and break the door handles of the interrogation room.
"It was you." I said.
"It was me." He said with a smirk.
"Do you know what you did??!" I yell.
"Killed a bunch of people for fun. And don't say it's wrong and yada yada—" I interrupt him by grabbing his hands.
"It is wrong! Who gave you permission to end someone's life!"
"Jeez man, why you take this so seriously?" He said.
Why am I taking this so seriously? Is it because of the mission, or something else?
Her smile popped into my mind.
No. Impossible. I couldn't actually like her, could I?
Never. I could never do that.
Not unless Kristin dies. Although could she even look at me after I, the person who practically killed her, her beloved sister? The one she talked about with so much adoration?
She will never love you!
I bet you can't even tell her the truth! The truth about who you really are.
With the amount of trauma you have, the trauma that keeps me alive, why would I want you to be happy?
The voices were finally awake. But do I really have trauma?
You have nothing else other than grief and death around you. The grief and death you will plague her with!
Show him his memories!
No! It's too early!
Memories. What memories? Memories of my past?
I had a How do I not remember?
I then return to reality, in the interrogation room, and run out. My phone rings but I pay no mind to it. I drive to my apartment and contact the Empress through the Fesah-keh-annor.
"Hello darling!" The voice, that voice that was talking in my head, it sounded similar. It made the Empress's eyes pitch black, but how?
"Well go on. Why did you call me?" She said in her light, whispery voice.
"Where is the Empress?" I ask.
"Right here darling. Now, someone you know is hurt, and it brought up... something. Am I correct?"
"How did you know?"
"I have eyes everywhere love. Now, let's talk about the fact that you got entangled into the affairs of Earthlings."
"It was for the mission." I say.
"Then why are there tears rolling down your cheeks?" I gave no answer.
"We will talk about this later. But do take my warnings seriously, I would hate if something happened to Ava." She said, disconnecting the connection and leaving me alone.

I promised two chapters a day, and while writing this, I thought "I still want to keep my readers in an evil cliffhanger!" And me being smart, I just made it more evil and put another cliff hanger. Ha.
It's so cool being an author.
Take care of yourselves and have a good day!
