Kristin Percxio/Kristin Parker

It was Thursday, and eventually the stares went down, but I kept getting asked out, which was annoying. Training with the General has been paused for reasons I don't know. Natasha has been acting weird, asking me things about herself that she should already know. The Parkers are trying to bring back the person I was before, a pushover who used to listen to their every word by insulting me over and over again, but I keep making comebacks which shut them up.

Although, after getting popular, I have more friends! So that's good news.

"Hey popular girl! Too popular to listen to me?" Ken yelled out while running towards me at full speed through the hallways. I decided to forgive him after he apologized to me profusely. He's overall a great guy but is way too nice to be real. I decided to ignore it and just enjoy my time in school.

Ken ran too fast and bumped into me, but I managed to not let us fall.

"Jeez, why are you running so fast? You know the floors are always slippery." I told him.

"Just missed you, plus this may be the last time I see you for two weeks! I need to make sure you don't forget about me!" He said with a mischievous smile. Christmas break was coming up, so I'm going to be stuck in the house with the Parkers, yay.

"Don't worry, I won't forget you. What else am I going to think about when I'm stuck in my room other than charming Ken?" I said with a mocking voice which made him pout.

"Wait, are you actually just going to stay in your room? The whole break?" I nodded.

"WHAT?! THAT'S A CRIME! YOU'RE COMING WITH ME TO GO SKIING WHETHER YOUR PARENTS LIKE IT OR NOT!" He bellowed, making all the students scared.

"First of all, they are my guardians, not my parents. Secondly, I doubt my guardians would even let me have fun. I swear they just live so that I am always on misery." I paused, feeling my rage bubble up since this was all the General's fault, she could have made them nice which would have saved me a lot of pain. Ken raised his eyebrows since he noticed my anger.

I take a deep breath. "And thirdly, that would be kidnapping. Besides, I don't even like the snow." The snow always reminded me of Faltor, which was a snowy place, but made our technology and innovations better.

"Okay, fine. Those are some good points." He sighed, his disappointment clearly showing.

"Alright, I need to get to class. Bye!" I said while running to math class.

I got to class 2 minutes early, although everyone was already there. I guess he is everybody's favorite.

"Ok class, the lesson plan is going to be different today. All of you are going to write down what you are going to go for Christmas break or, what you want as a gift. It's your choice, however; the one thing that should be on your paper is, who do you love most in your family? Fifteen minutes till we all go in a circle and discuss." He announced, looking tired as if he had to deal with something exhausting. Probably why he had no lesson plan.

"Sir, can we do something... a little less cringey?" Said Jessica, while giggling. Although no one laughed with her.

"Would algebra be less 'cringey' for you?" He asked, which made everybody start writing stuff down and made Jessica huff.

I tried to come up with something for 'who do you love most in your family'. I obviously couldn't choose someone from my alien family, so it has to be from my current family. It's definitely not the Parkers, which leaves the General or in this case, Grandma. I write her name down and put down my pencil.

Five minutes later everybody was done. We all discussed and I heard all the amazing fun plans which made me pity myself. When it was my turn, I gave my answer and I saw Dr. Williams smirking at me.

That's weird.
