Chapter 9

I don't know how I didn't sense a new alien! Then I really can't depend on my powers. Which means, I have to teach her how to harness her power.

"Wait, why do I need to train? I thought controlling power was it." Kristin say, with a confused face. Ah, the late King and Queen must have said that so she wouldn't feel left out.

"That may have been the case for the citizens of Faltor, but us soldiers were trained to protect Faltor, no matter what."

"What about the Royal Family? Were they not trained either?" She asked. The late King and Queen decided against the idea of training Kristin because her power was so great, that if she made a mistake, could kill hundreds of people.

"They were trained by the elite, so when the soldiers failed in case of invasion, they could still protect themselves," I say, yet being trained by the elite still couldn't stop the Empress from taking over. I sometimes think that the late King and Queen were wrong in their judgment. With the amount of power Kristin has, and being trained by the elite, she could have taken care of them in one fell swoop.

"Why was I not... Oh." She say with a face that showed little to no emotion. But her eyes held so much grief. Grief should not be there.

"Anyways, why do I need to be trained?" I can see her, trying to repress all her emotions. Although it is not healthy, it is going to be useful for training.

"I will answer your questions after you answer mine." I bartered.

She contemplated and then agreed. "What is your question?"

I notice that it is well past eight, which means the Parker family is coming back. "Tomorrow"

"What?! NO! ANSWER NOW?!"

"Princes- Kristin. The humans are coming back. We cannot discuss this now." I say, preparing to leave. I can also see that she has had a long day, and I don't have to make her worry for practically nothing.

"KATHERINE! WHERE IS OUR FOOD?!" Shawn yelled out, stomping on the floors. I quickly change my appearance to 'sister' and go to greet him.

"Dad, don't you dare yell like that in my house. You are making my ears bleed." It was true since my hearing is heightened.

"I'm sorry love. Have you eaten yet? Or has that wretched girl not-" I interrupted him, not able to hear him any longer without kicking him out.

"She is your daughter, not your servant," I say, done with this conversation.

"She is useless! You provided us with this house, I go to work and Jane takes care of the house! What does she do to help?!" He says.

"And what does Caroline do?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"She- Ugh-" He says, stomping away.

"Don't stomp on my house either!" I yell at him.

--time skip to the next day--

It was time to train Kristin. She has already learned the bare minimum, which is controlling her powers, but they are growing, which she doesn't know how to control. So today, while the Parker family is gone for their trip, I have to make Kristin mad, in order to see how much power she is failing to control.

"So, what was your question the other night?" Speak of the Devil.

"Have you felt your power... slipping from your control?" I ask, fully knowing she has yet to try to see if she is aware herself.

"Of course I have. If you hadn't heard, I was being trained material a 16-year-old should master, at the age of 5. So sorry if I wasn't able to comprehend all of it." She says, already regretting coming here.

"You were able to comprehend it very well, but the blood of two great defendants flow through you Kristin, two saviors of the Galaxy, with huge amounts of power. And you are their direct descendant, which makes you one of the most powerful in the Galaxy. Now that power, is so great, that an alien body can't take it all at once. The best is that they go insane, worst, they die the most painful death. So, it coming to you, slowly. That is why some of it has been slipping because you weren't taught how to control that much power." I explain.

"Alright, but why am I being trained now?" she asked with a face filled with confusion.

"Because I could not sense the arrival of a new alien. And this could repeat itself." I say, looking at Kristin, who looked deep into my eyes.

"Ok, say you are telling me the truth, what is so important about this?" she says.

"Because the alien is from planet Grovenhines, a planet rules by the Empress. So, either, Earth is being invaded and the alien is here for information, it's a rogue alien, or our location is compromised." I say, also fully expecting her outburst.

"So? I don't know about you, but I doubt that they would have found my location considering how careful I have been. And it's just a possibility." She says while trying to act brave, but I could see her already trying to see if there was a crack on her cloaking system.

"Regardless, no matter who they are, they are powerful, which means they sensed you too."

"Maybe... But-"

Her phone started to ring. "Finally! Do you know how worried I was?!"

"Can we do training tomorrow? Natasha finally called."
