Ava/Friqe-Pexcri-Tesiries
After being comforted by John and talking with him, I decided that I need to have a conversation with Kristin in order to explain myself.
That was until I saw her hugging the messenger boy and crying on his shoulders, and he welcomed me with a glare as if I had committed a crime.
"Kristin?" I said, ignoring the threatening glares from him. She shot up instantly, either from fright or from embarrassment but the latter is more likely after seeing the deep red cover her cheeks.
"What do you want?" She said in a firm voice as she wiped her tears.
"I think we need to talk. And with your... accomplices too." I said, eyeing Isalieus.
"Why do we need to talk with them? They have nothing to do with this and doesn't affect them either way." Kristin said.
"I think it does affect them, since we don't know if the shadows are spying on us, and how long. And since their leader seems so hell-bent in order to make your life a disaster before ending you, she will probably go after the ones you care about. Like last time." I said reluctantly, since we weren't in private and we haven't had any reason to trust Isalieus.
"Fine, but just call them here. If your theory is right, then this is the only place in the house with less chance of onlookers." She said after accepting her defeat.
"It's fine, I can go." Isalieus suddenly spoke, and got up, leaving the room without waiting for an answer.
"Seems like you already trust him." I said, unable to hide the disdain in my voice.
"He is pretty trustworthy, but maybe it's cause I'm vulnerable after having no one by my side." She said with a sneer.
"No matter what, you can't settle for 'pretty trustworthy', especially in these circumstances." I said, ignoring the jab that I probably deserved.
Suddenly the door burst open, with Isalieus entering first and Ben entering second like they are on the red carpet.
"Why are you entering like that?" I asked, which made their chests deflate.
"It doesn't matter, why have you called us?" Natasha questioned, seemingly tired from this day.
"As you know the dangerous circumstances we face, we unfortunately have roped you into it as well. But we have no intention to leave you defenseless, and we want you to trust us." I said, while glancing at Kristin who looked normal except her puffy eyes.
"So can you explain what happened on the planet you live- sorry, lived in?" Ben asked.
"Faltor was seemingly a progressive planet, but everything has it's flaws. Our leaders had a particular hatred for the birth of twins, and killed one of the children and striped the title of their family, which made them a laughingstock. But it became particularly serious when my great-grandmother gave birth to twins. As they were heirs, they could not be killed, and the contributions that my great-grandparents made were to big to ignore and strip the title of royalty from them. Even if they did, they would have no monarch, and the planet would fall into another War of Succession." Kristin explained.
"But what does that have to do with the incident?" Asked Isalieus. Seems that Kristin doesn't trust him enough with family secrets.
"The Elders, who had first developed the law of having twins were a bad omen, compromised and stated that only one of them could be the head or heir of the family, and it would be decided through a duel. So, my great-grandfather held a contest for his children for the planet to watch and decide who would claim the throne. It was decided to be focused on intelligence and strength, and finally ending with a fight to the death. Although, my great-grandmother did not support this and treated her children equally, until her death. A year after her death, the battle was held but the brothers refused to fight as their love was stronger. My great-grandfather, enraged, decided that it would be a great idea to tell both his sons that the other killed their mother, out of jealousy. This led to a disastrous war that killed millions, and left Faltor vulnerable for a while until it finally ended." Kristin said, pausing.
Everyone seeming very intrigued by the story, continued to diligently listen.
"A woman with silver hair and red eyes appeared and brought peace to the planet. It was believed that the Creator, or God, had come onto the Mortal Plane in that body and stopped the war. She married one of the brothers and claimed the throne as no one would go against the Creator's wishes. Centuries later, I was born, with the same complexion as her, but was born with a twin. As I looked like the body that the Creator had come into the Mortal Plane, I was immediately decided as the heir and my sister was thrown away. Few years later, I discovered her and immediately gave her everything she needed, but she was harassed by the servants of the Imperial Palace and was not welcome. That was the girl that was abandoned." Kristin ended, her eyes becoming glassy once again.
"I had abandoned the Hidden Princess." I mummer, as guilt rose up.

A/N: Kinda an informational chapter. Also, these chapters should have been uploaded a long time ago, don't know what happened. I will come back to writing this since I will finish it, but I've been writing the prompts for "Aim to Engage" by the Wattpad Creators. I recpmd going through it cause it has some good prompts.
