Isalieus of Voanerth/Messenger of the Empress
I am going to lose it.
My inmates have been tearing apart my clothes, my prized uniform of a messenger, to cover themselves in the bitter cold of the dungeons.
And now I'm basically being banished to Earth, where the creatures of Voanerth used to make fun of the humans and how they are hanging on to the edge of annihilation for small amounts of luxury. They make floors by killing the very thing that keeps them alive.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE THERE??!
How am I supposed to live among those insolent creatures?
"AAAAAAAAAHH!!!" I yelled out, as I was thrown into the a teleportation device, which made my body warp in an irregular shape which made me really sick. I looked to my side and saw...
The planets, and the creatures living in them in all their glory. I passed by them in a blink of an eye but I could still somehow process every detail of their healthy, happy lives. Did Voanerth ever live like this?
Finally, a portal opened up and I went thought it to end up in...
The front of the Empress's castle, in Voanerth.
Does that mean I don't have to go?
No, when the Empress sets her mind on something, it happens. Could I run away?
Where would I run too? Everybody except the prisoners is controlled by the shadows, who answer to the Empress. Even if I escape, I don't have a spaceship to go to another planet to seek refuge.
"HEY! COME HERE!" Yelled one of the guards, who I presumed was yelling at me.
I walked towards him because running would be futile, and the guard smiled, glad that he doesn't have to chase me.
"Weren't you suppose to teleport to Earth?" The guard asked.
"I was. I don't know what happened." I said.
"I believe you. You looked pretty confused there." He paused as we approached the other guards. They put their hands on his temples, to check if he really was a shadow. He then smiled, probably verified. Which means he is a shadow. The enemy.
Then he looked at me with such...
Malice.
"But if you ever do anything to thwart the Mistress's plan, I promise you, the best shadows will hunt you down, and deliver a slow, painful death." He said with a toothy grin, which sent shivers down my spine.
Wait, who is the Mistress?
"Ah, I'm sorry for the delay. The Teleportation device can't send you though Earth's atmosphere, so you have to travel there on a spaceship. And don't think of any escape plans, the spaceship will be controlled by us and even if you manage to get out of the spaceship, I will know. And I will kill your entire family." The Empress said. I was already in a spaceship, and the location was locked on...
New York City, on Earth.
What's a 'New York City'?
"Prepare for launch in 10." An automated voice said.
"9" The Empress waved at me with a smile.
"8" This would be the last time I will see Voanerth.
"7" What were the last words my family said?
"6" The tech on this spaceship looked old, easier to track.
"5" I don't want to go...
"4" I can't have these thoughts. My family's life is in somebody's hands who wants me to do something. I have to do it.
"3" Isn't Earth really far away? What am I going to do?
"2" That doesn't matter. This spaceship model goes really fast. It might take a couple of hours.
"1" This is the end...
"Stand by. Launching Now." Goodbye home...
I couldn't see anything past the windows, the smoke surrounding every part of the spaceship.
What is Earth like? I obviously don't have family anymore.
Will I have a new family?
New friends?
I hope I do...
