Kristin Percxio/Kristin Parker

So... It was Monday and I am at school. I expected a few stares but the Language Arts teacher was staring at me too. I guess I am unique but this is too much. I entered the school with Natasha, just as always, except with my hair and a cute outfit when all the boys started starting and whistling while the girls whispered with one another.

"Hey, do we have a new student?" A girl said.

"Wait, isn't it that super smart freak from Math class?" A boy said.

"Jeez, is there a magic lamp somewhere?" A girl said in her group, while the others laughed.

"Why, you want it. 'Cause it looks like you need it." I say, which made the people nearby look. Some of them even said 'Ooh'. I can't believe that we are in our senior year of high school and people still act like middle schoolers.

"Aww, is Jessica a little jelly?" Natasha said in a baby voice. All the girls in her group started to laugh uncontrollably.

"SHUT UP!" Jessica yelled while running to her boyfriend, who was also staring at me.

"Wait, that was Jessica? As in 'Prettiest Sophomore'?" I said.

"Yep, you really can't see why she won right?" Natasha said.

     "She's just... Average." I said.

"Jesus! She was my ex-girlfriend you know. Also, I'm Kennedy, Ken for short." Said the boy who just got a sobbing Jessica of himself. He had blond hair and brown eyes with sharp cheekbones with muscles which were well defined by the shirt he was wearing.. The stereotypical quarterback.

"Did you just break up with her? Wow, savage." Natasha said.

"Been meaning to for a while. Jessica can be a-" I interrupted Ken, realizing that the bell will ring soon.

"Sorry Ken, but we need to go." I give him a tight-lipped smile and drag Natasha to class. Where I bumped into Mr. Smith, the Language Arts teacher and Ken ran into us while chasing us.

"Ugh, this is why we say no running in the hall -" That, is when he looked at my face, which I guess was always covered by my hood.

"Sorry, Mr. Smith! Please don't give us detention!" I say. It's only because then they would have to call the Fosters and they would look at me with pity.

"Neve- I mean, no, you don't need a detention for something like this!" He said with a big smile.

     Rinnnnngggg Rinnnnngggg!

"Oh, uh thanks," I say while helping Natasha up and smiling at him. I also help Ken up because Natasha landed on him. Somehow.

We finally reach Language Arts, where everybody stares at me again. I begin walking to my desk in the back when I hear Mr. Smith say "Kristin, why don't you sit here, in the front."

I reluctantly go to the front, next to Natasha and her friends. Language Arts goes painfully slow with a lot of whispering and staring when it finally ends and I run to French class, my solitude hiding my face behind my hair.

After French, it was lunch and Natasha had clubs so I had to find a table.

"Hey freak! Want to sit here?!" Jessica yells, which I assume is from the popular kids table, with the pretty and athletic. The boys looked like they would devour me if they had the chance, and some girls were holding on to their partners, and others had a smirk on their face, which included Jessica.

"Sorry, still want to keep my integrity." And walk to the table with the least amount of attention. Which was the table for the Robotics club. Where Ken was sitting with his friend.

"Ah, seems that I didn't have to chase her 'cause she just came to me!" Ken says, which really pissed me off.

"Do I look like a trophy that you have to chase, an object with no emotions?! All of you have been staring and whispering at me which I could all see and hear and none of you cared! So just leave me alone if you are going to act like a jerk." I say, done with this. Ken huffed when everybody looked.

"And also, who leaves their girlfriend right when they see someone else pretty? I think you and Jessica are perfect for each other, because opposites attract, but a similar bond, cause that's what both of you are, all of you who have been whispering things about me. All of you are jerks." I walk away calmly, and go to the track to sit on the bleachers.

I hear footsteps coming towards me, and it was Natasha. She sat down next to me.

"So, I saw you completely pop off on Ken. And I am so proud of you." She said like a proud mother.

"I just... Kinda lost it in there you know?" I say with a sigh.

"It's alright. Anyways, since you have decided to show yourself, do you want to do after-school activities?"

"You, know what? Why not? It will keep me from meeting the Fosters and give me more time to myself."

"I thought you liked Grandma?" She asks.

"It's complicated..." And with that sentence, I decided that I would tell her everything. Every single detail, truth. Since I can't exactly trust the General, it would be nice to have someone to lean on.

No, I can't. She would be in danger if that happens.

And I can't lose anymore people.

A/N: So, decided to add high school drama (and maybe romance) cause who doesn't like that, so this chapter could be considered as Kristin showing more of her personality (which is being a badass) or a filler chapter (or is it?..) And I was feeling extra generous.

Take care of yourselves and don't be a silent reader! <3
