Kristin Percxio/Kristin Parker
The General nodded, and I walked away.
"NATASHA! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I whisper yell into the phone, which makes people turn around and stare.
"I know, I know. I sorry for not telling you." She .
"You better be! And where did you go?!" I said in a much quieter voice while shutting my bedroom door.
"I went to a party where I got drunk and kinda... fell asleep in the closet." She says shamefully.
"WHAT?! Wait, how could fall asleep in the closet?! HOW BIG WAS IT?!!" I yell, while laughing at her unique situation.
"Do not yell, I have a hangover right now." She whispers in pain.
"Ok, are you at your house? I'm coming over. It's not every day I see you in pain." I laughed again.
"Ha Ha. Yeah, you can come over, but get ready to just do nothing." She said with a quiet voice. Thank god I don't get hangovers after getting drunk. Maybe I should make some of that hangover juice.
I get into my car, which in my opinion isn't too shabby, and it was the best I could get from working 3 part time jobs in a year. After I reach there, I greet Mrs. Anderson and get a hug from Ellie and that girl gives the best hugs in the world.
"NATASHA! KRISTIN IS HERE!" Mrs. Anderson and Ellie yell in unison, which was the cutest thing ever.
"MOM!! DON'T YELL MY HEAD HURTS!" Natasha yells, which makes giggle and go to her room.
"Here, drink this." I toss her a bottle containing the 'hangover juice' which was a greenish, thick, liquid.
"What is this?" She asks, groaning while getting up.
"Magic juice." I say.
"I have a hangover right now; alcohol is not what I need right now." She says while covering her eyes.
"Oh, sorry. It's the disgusting but helpful magic juice that cures the after-effects of the other magic juice, such as a hangover." I say, while mimicking a doctor which makes her smile.
"Shouldn't it be called 'magic smoothie then? And also, what has gotten you so cheery? Does my pain make you that happy?" She asks while taking a sniff of the smoothie.
"Nope, it's just that I realized that everybody in my life has lied to me" She looks at me with a glare. "Except you of course, and I don't want to hold back anymore." I say.
"Wait, so you are going to show off your beauty and intelligence? Not be invisible anymore?" She asks with a smile on her face and looks at me which immediately makes her wince.
"I wouldn't say I am beautiful, but yeah, I won't be hiding anymore." I say while making her drink the smoothie which makes her gag.
"YESSS! I'M GOING TO BE THE BEST FRIEND OF THE QUEEN OF CAPESIDE HIGH SCHOOL- I mean, yeah I'm happy for you!" She smiles, but I can still she the excitement behind her eyes.
"I doubt that but I sure am not going to be ignored"
"And what do you mean you aren't beautiful? You literally have white hair and red eyes with beautiful skin and face. I'm surprised that you were able to keep yourself hidden."
"Don't underestimate the power of a hoodie." I always kept a hood over my head, even in class where it wasn't allowed, but I had good grades which were the salary of the teachers so they didn't bother me about it too much. Except Art class of course, where students already talented in art joined the class so there would be less work.
"Ok, so when are you going to make your come back?"
"Monday, and I need your help."
"Girl, you know I would never say no to giving someone a makeover. We have one day so we do nails and hair, makeup tomorrow. She says with her eyes glinting with mischief, knowing already that she will go above and beyond. I won't be surprised if I get some stares.
