Natasha Anderson
Alright.
So, aliens exist, and my best friend and her sister are. Not only that, my best friend a the QUEEN OF A PLANET AND IS BEING TARGETED BY SHADOWS??!
And there is a gorgeous guy, who I don't know the name of, who is also an alien and his whole family was murdered, no POSSESSED.
No way.
No. Aliens aren't real. This is just a dream. Or my imagination.
But then I glanced at Ken, who wore a baffled expression, and I knew it wasn't a dream because there was no way I would have a dream about him unless it was a nightmare.
Wait, does that mean the government is coming after us?
No, this isn't a damn sci-fi movie, this is real life.
"—Natasha? Natasha!!" Kristine exclaimed, waving her hand in front of my face.
"Y- yeah?"
"You okay?" She asked, as I felt everyone's concerned gazes at me.
"Of course not! I just learned aliens exist and you are a damn princess or soon-to-be queen and that someone is trying to kill you who could also possibly kill me!" That is what I wanted to say. Instead, I just gave her a shrug and obviously, she wasn't convinced.
"Okay, as I was asking, before you zoned out, what has Natasha and Ken got to do with this?" She asked the handsome guy, whose name began with an "I", but I forgot what it was.
"Only the General knows why, since she is the one who requested it."He declared.
"So, am I going to have to stay here until your sister, no sorry, your "protector" is fine so she can finally indulge us why we're here?" I said and instantly regretted it when I saw Ava hobbling towards us. I saw Kristin glare at me for a moment before rushing to Ava to assist her.
"Ava! You are supposed to be in—" Kristin tried to say.
"In bed? I will be fine. And Natasha and Ben deserve to know why they are here." Ava said.
"We can do that later—" Kristin was cut in again, but it was by a deafening screech and a bright golden glow coming from Ava, and then she was no longer limping, and her wounds disappeared.
"That was the—" The handsome guy began, but Ava interrupted him too which made it obvious that she was getting impatient.
"It is the Blood of the Imperials of Voanerth combined with tiny particles of Erithen Crystal, which is to heal me. And there were thousands of barrels of it in the Shadow Plane." She said.
"How did the monsters get the Blood? I saw the Imperials taken over, which would have corrupted their blood." He replied.
"It's apparent that they aren't, but the bigger question is, what about the Erithen Crystals which were no longer obtainable because the planet's bloodthirsty anomalies. Or as legend says, shadows?" Ava asked, which made both Kristin's and the handsome guy's eyes widen.
"You think that the Tariaksuq are from Erithenia? Where the Legendary Knights originated from?" Kristen asked in disbelief.
"That is the only explanation we have." Ava said with a sigh, which made me wonder, was the potion working? Or was she just tired from the questions and doubts?
"You mean the only theory, right? Because the Legendary Knights are called legendary for a reason. They are waytoo powerful to get coaxed by monsters or get poisoned." Kristen said with conviction.
"So why didn't they come to help when Faltor was under attack? Faltor, one of the planets they swore to protect with their life, and the birthplace of many of the knights? And myths about the shadows started right before the Knights' disappearance." Ava argued back, which made Kristin's confidence fade.
"But Kristin is still right. How would the Knights become the very thing that they are supposed to eliminate?" The handsome guy said, glancing at Kristin for a moment before returning his gaze to Ava.
"What if they weren't forced? What if they... chose?" Ava asked tentatively, as if not believing herself.
"Yeah right. They chose to become monsters. That makes total sense." Kristin huffed out.
"We can't dismiss it. Not without persuading evidence, which brings us to why we are here." Ava said, which forced everyone's gaze on her.
"It's time Kristin. It's time to take back your throne."

A/N: I'M BACKKKKKK!!!!!!!!
AND HERE IS A BUNCH OF INFORMATION THAT YOU AND I WILL PROBABLY FORGET!!!!
So, updates will be random, so no schedule. If you are keeping track of this book (thank you if you are), you may or may not just need to check notifications.
But this chapter was long enough to make up for that right?
...
Right?
P.S: I have decided that the book is going to be divided in parts (like a bunch of chapters in a part) like those fancy books, and to make it make more sense for me. The chapter heading might say "Part 1 Chapter 3" or just like one part mentioning the beginning of new part. Sorry for so many changes. If you don't understand what I'm saying, don't worry, most people don't.
