Month 7 Day 1 (continued)

You know that feeling when something bad has happened. Like if you broke your mother's favorite glass vase and you have that guilty feeling.

That's how I'm feeling right now.

Just full of guilt.

"Honey, are you okay?" Sylvia asked, snapping me out my trance.

I only nodded.

She let me leave about two hours later.

The first thing I did when I left was go to my room and cry my heart out.

I can't believe I let this happen!

I'm so stupid.

It was different with Malena. I didn't feel guilty or sad. I was actually happy.

I'm not happy at all with this one. I'm terrified.

How will Jarod react to this?

I had a feeling he won't like the news at all.

What if I hide this? I thought.

But they would soon find out. I can't do anything.

Abortion.

That word just popped in my head.

No! I wouldn't kill my child.

If I kept it, I would be called all those names again.

Eh, I get called all those names on a daily basis. I'll be fine.

I heard footsteps getting closer to the door and I wiped my tears quickly.

"It's just me," I heard Emmalee say.

I sighed in relief when I saw her.

"My mom told me what's going on," she said.

Sylvia was her mom.

I nodded.

She sat beside me and wrapped her arms around my body.

"I'm sorry," she said.

I didn't say anything else. 

We kept quiet for a while. She just held me.

I heard another set of footsteps coming to my door.

Emmalee let go of me and I sat up.

They knocked once and it was Koda.

"Hey," I heard him say. "I was just-"

He stopped when he saw Emmalee.

"Mate," they both said.

I gasped.

They were mates!

I saw Koda swallow real hard and went over to Emmalee.

He wrapped his arms around her.

"I finally found you," he whispered to her.

Aw, how sweet.

At least they're happy.
