Day 16

They moved me from my bedroom to the downstairs "hospital."

It's not really a hospital, it's just like a doctors office.

Sylvia is the only doctor here. She knows everything.

We talk very often. I always go to her whenever the pack members hit me too hard.

They had to clean little Malena up, but I didn't want to let go of her.

"Hon, she'll be right here. She's not going anywhere," Sylvia told me.

I finally gave in since all the blood on her little face went dry.

They took her weight and she was five pounds, seven ounces. She's so small.

Sylvia says I have to keep her here until she gains a bit more weight.

Now, I'm carrying her and she's sleeping.

She is so beautiful.

Her little nose is the same as Koda's. She has Nate's nose, eyes, and hair.

Nate.

Why hasn't he come to see his daughter? Didn't he know?

"Luna, can you get Nate for me?" I asked.

"Why do you want Nate?" Koda asked.

"He needs to see his daughter."

"Yeah, but he did reject you because of her."

I hate that day with all my heart. The day I found out I was pregnant was the day Nate rejected me.

I accepted is rejection.

To this day, I can't forgot that awful memory.

I hate that day so much.

Then came a knock on the door.

Nichole? What is she doing here?

"What do you want?" I asked rather harshly.

"What? Can I not see the whore's baby?" she smiled as she said that.

"Leave," my brother spoke to her.

She sneered at him but did leave.

"God, I hate her," I muttered.

Just then someone else came in the door.

Emmalee.

"Hi, I-I just-" she stuttered as the saw the Alpha and the Luna sitting there.

"It's ok, Emmalee," I told her.

She nodded and came to me. She looked at the little bundle in my arms.

"Aw, her name?" she asked.

"Malena."

"Malena? Where did you get Malena?"

I turned red as I said this. "It's the Luna's middle name."

I heard the Luna gasp.

Oh, Lord. She's going to punish me!

I held on tightly to Malena as she came over.

"I'm sorry!" I quickly said.

"No! No, Tavern, it's alright. I think that's really sweet that you named her after me."

Thank you God. She did not hurt me.

I turned back to Emmalee, who was holding out her arms to me. I happily gave Malena to her.

"She's so light," Emmalee told me.

"Yep."

"You know, you could've eaten more and then she wouldn't have to stay here more."

I barely ate when I was pregnant. I mean, I did get the scrappy  leftovers from the pack.

Emmalee left after ten minutes.

Another knock came on the door.

It was Nate.
