Aria
Used to my alarm waking me up, I am now wide awake at 7 am. The bathroom is fully stocked with supplies so having a bath wouldn't be a problem so I begin stripping off my clothes. In about fifteen minutes later I step out the bathroom, slipping into an oversized tee and a pair of shorts. I head down to the kitchen, surprised to see a man with a slight greyish hair occupying it.
"Oh hello" he shrieks when he realizes my presence. He looks around late forties, his eyes are brown while his beard surrounding his jaw looks a tad bit outgrown.
"Hi, I am-"
"Ms Morano-"
"Isadora, please" I interrupt, placing my palm on the counter top across him
"Well I am Gabriel, the chef" He offers a friendly smile before turning back to preparing breakfast
"You know you can just wait in your room till one of the maids call you down when breakfast is ready" Gabriel says moments after the silence settles
"No that's okay, I just want coffee and maybe a pastry that's available. I usually start my day with that"
"Well although Mr Delrico wouldn't like you not eating at the table with him, I will keep that in mind from now on. How do you like your coffee and what pastry would you prefer?"
"2 milk 2 sugar with a dash of cinnamon but skimmed milk please" before he could reply a loud barking sound erupts in the atmosphere and alarm blazes in me as a Doberman comes into sight but on a leash by a man.
The man is about 6ft but not as slim as Dante. He's somewhat muscular, wearing a black cotton shirt that's fits his body, paired with black combat pants.
"Ares"
the man speaks making sure to lift up his index finger which makes the dog stop barking. He drops the finger and the dog goes down in a laying position before looking up to me.
"Sorry about that, he's trained to be alerted of strangers" the man forces a smile but I don't dare take my eyes off Ares neither does he
"I'm Andrè" he hands out his palm, dropping the leash on the floor but the dog doesn't move
"Isadora" I smile extending my arm to meet his, the handshake is firm hinting professionalism
Letting go of his hand, Dante comes into sight with his eyes darting from me to Andrè before peering down to meet Ares
He crouches down before him, raising his left hand to rub his head.
"Thank you Andrè you may leave now" Dante speaks and without another word Andrè leaves the premises, glancing at me one last time.
"Morning Gabriel" He utters again while receiving a cup of something in it. I maintain a look on him waiting if he's going to explain why there's a dog here in the kitchen or a dog here for that matter
As he realizes my gaze, he connects his with mine making sure to raise a brow while dropping the cup back on the counter.
"Care to explain why there's a dog here" I cross my arms in addition which makes his eyes snap down to my chest but back up immediately.
"Ares is our k9 dog, trained to listen to our commands. He won't listen to anyone except me for now until you get trained with him"
"Why do we need one?"
"I can't need what I already have Isadora, I've had Ares for three years now and I won't change that just because you are here now" he replies with patience filling his tone which makes me riled up in anger for some reason
