Isadora
My eyes snap up at the sound of muffled yelling. Head instantly throbbing as I get up, realizing I'm in my bedroom. The noises only gets louder which makes me walk over to my door, placing my ear on the dark oak barrier."Dante" a familiar female voice says and it takes me a second to realize it's Soleil.
"You were the lead in this operation, how did it go sideways that quick ?" Dante asks with a slightly raised voice
"It's not like I went in there not putting my life on the line—"
"Dammit Soleil these are all excuses! It was your job to know every single person coming in tonight and to verify their background and you screwed that up!" Dante yells and I almost wince at rate he's going at, I've never encountered him raising his voice before
"I-I'll do my best to—" Soleil's voice breaks before Dante cuts her off once more
"Forget it, you're off this case"
"W-what you can't be serious Dante, I'm the main—"
"What part of me saying you're off this case do you not understand? Or did it seem like I stuttered? Don't make me repeat myself"
Silence fills the air right before footsteps retreat. I immediately rush over to my bed as I hear heavy footsteps marching over to me.
I pull the cover above my shoulder, shutting my eyes as Dante enters the room. His steps gets closer and closer before they come to a halt that seems to be right in front of me.
"I know you're awake" he says calmly causing me to slowly open my eyes to meet his gaze. The Dante that was clearly furious a few seconds ago was gone, and was now replaced by an oddly calm one.
"Do you remember what happened" he says although I can't seem to tell if it's deemed to be a statement or a question
"Yes" I breathe softly, looking up at him. I was drugged and almost raped, there's nothing more to it than that.
It feels almost unreal
"Did he do anything to you?"
"Apart from touching me no" I seat up gently, my back resting on the bed frame. He slightly nods with an itching look to say something else but he doesn't.
"I-I'm sorry that you went through that, I wasn't fast enough to get there in time" He stares at me sincerely while I do the same. Did he just apologize to me or am I hearing things
Silence grows between us as I try to find words but all I can feel is confusion as to how Dante Delrico just uttered the words of apology
"I wasn't sacred you know" I pause looking away from him, "I knew it was only a matter of time you came for me" my eyes trail back to meet his once more with an unknown expression plastered across his face.
He takes half a step closer before stopping himself as if thinking about what he's doing, calculating his actions before he takes the step back.
"You should get some rest, I'll ask Gabriel to bring you something to eat" he turns around without my response, leaving the room as fast as he could.

As the day moves on which was spent by me rotting in bed with Ares. I finally gather the strength to get something to eat, walking down the stairs as I hear commotion coming from the hallway with a camera. Curiosity takes over as I turn, making my way over instantly. My legs come to a halt as my eyes set on two large men holding some sort of tool box. They enter the door that made of steel and I don't think twice but to follow them.
The door leads to some sort of underground bunker, more like a cell, similar to the one Dante was held in. I peep through the glass of the room the men entered, setting my eyes on Emilio and Dante. Emilio has his back on the wall with his arms crossed while Dante is standing in front of the man I had the encounter with hours ago. His hands are bloody and so is the man who spits out blood before throwing his head back to give me a better access to his heavily bruised face.
A gasp escape my lips as I watch Dante pull out some blade from the box offered to him. Attempting to lunge at him again he stops instantly, looking to the side as he realizes my presence. He drops the blade and my feet start to retreat. I don't spend anymore time standing, I immediately scramble away, rushing out the door and heading towards the kitchen.
"Isadora!" He yells behind me, my hand finds a knife in the set displayed on the counter, promptly snatching it.
I turn around, without hesitation, throwing the blade at him as he makes his presence known. I no doubt miss, the object miserably falling onto the ground which makes Dante raise an eyebrow.
"Seriously ?" He scoffing before he starts his movement towards me. I reach up once more, grabbing another set of knife but this time holding it in front of me as I move away at his approach
"Don't take another step!" I threaten
"You're not going to stab me Isadora, put the knife down" he says firmly, strong headed with no emotions behind his eyes.
"Why are you doing this?"
"That's a self explanatory question" he stops, cocking his head to the side
"You report it to the police not torture him like an animal!"
"He is one Isadora! You should be glad he's getting what he deserves!"
"What he deserves is to rot in jail not be tortured! You can't just go around deciding you're god and taking the matter into your hands!" I shake my head, this why the justice system exists. It's not right to treat people like animals and it's not justified even if they are not innocent. Dehumanizing people is the cause of most issues around the world, it doesn't solve the problem it just creates more.
"I'm not having this conversation, that man is going to pay through my hands" He says lowly approaching me slowly
"You claim to be nothing like Eamon yet here you are doing exactly what he would do" I seethe with hatred in my eyes as our gazes burn into each others
"Do not compare me to that monster"
"You are a monster!"
"Glad that you now realize it" he grins slightly
"You were right, you and Eamon aren't the same, you are far much worse. I was foolish to think you could be normal, having a side in your heart that isn't frozen. You are heartless and you don't deserve anything more" I scoff, venom laced in my tone as I confess. An unknown emotion plays around his face as he tears his gaze from mine.
"Get out of my sight" he breathes before looking at me again, "I said get the hell out of my sight Isadora!" His voice bounces off the walls as his loudness bursts my eardrums. I flinch, dropping the knife on the countertop before running out the room instantly.
