Time can't erase a feeling this strong. - Mariah Carey

DESTINY.

Months have passed since the last time I talked to him. We go through the same routine when it comes to our daughter. He gets her on weekends and I have her during the week. We meet up on Fridays and he gets her from my car or I drop her off at mama's house.

I didn't think that it would come to this. Me leaving wasn't some stunt that I pulled to get him to chase after me. I never thought he would, I was thinking for me at the time. I just thought when he said he wasn't going to chase me he would give up on trying to get back together not cut me off completely.

I sat in the parking lot waiting for him to show up since this is his weekend to have her.

"Mommy can we invite daddy to my birthday party?" Simone asked looking up from the movie that was playing in the backseat.

"If you want him there but, I'm pretty sure they have something planned for you this weekend."

"I want him there."

"Then he will be." I got a text from him saying that he was in the parking lot. I cut off the engine then hopped out the car grabbing her things from the backseat. I held onto her hand making our way to his Rolls. He got out the car and grabbed the bags out my hand.

"Hey princess." He picked her up and hugged her.

"Hey daddy, I missed you." She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I missed you more."

"Alright you be good baby, mommy loves you." I walked over to them giving her a peck on the cheek.

"Love you." She responded. I walked back to my car and got in heading back to my condo. I unlocked the door when I heard someone call my name.

"Destiny, what's wrong?" Camilla walked over to me holding me close to her.

"I fucked up." She let me go then grabbed my hand leading me to the couch.

"What happened?"

"I made a mistake that I can't take back because of my insecurities. I really don't want to go into detail about it but, I wish I would have handled the situation differently."

"It's fine, whatever it is you should talk to the person about it. Nothing gets fixed when you keep it bottled up."

"You're right." I agreed.

"Plus whatever happened I bet it wasn't that bad." She got up from the couch making her way towards the kitchen. She came back with wine glasses and a bottle of white wine.

"Thanks." I grabbed the glass taking a sip.

"No problem." There was silence between us but not an awkward silence. I looked at the clock on the wall. It was 11:30 indicating that I need to go to bed.

"As much as I appreciate spending time with you, I think I'm going to bed now."

"That's fine. If you need me you have my number." She got up from the couch making her way towards the door.

"I will." When she left I closed the door behind her then locked it. Walking into my bedroom I turned on the lap before getting the remote for the TV. 'Mama' by boys to men filled my room letting me know I was getting a call.

"Hey baby." Mrs. Carter spoke.

"Hey mama."

"You doing good?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good. Listen we are throwing something at the house, I was wondering if you would be joining us."
