DESTINY
*Months later*
"Mommy, mommy watch me!" Simi yelled as she was being pushed on the swing by Shawn. I must admit he is an excellent father to her. We barely speak to each other. At first it was hard to even look at him but, I realized it isn't about me it's about Simone. I still love him that will never change, I just pray and wait for my sign. Until then I'm working on being the best mother, aunt, sister and friend I can be. I also got an amazing opportunity to expand my business in New York and working on opening one in the islands. Ace of Spades is really something amazing.
"I see you baby." I pulled out my phone and began recording her. She looked adorable in her plaid skirt, white shirt, knee high socks with black flats. Her hair was put in two goddess braids. She hopped off the swing just like he taught her.
"Did you see me Shawnie?"
"Yes baby girl you did a good job." He picked her up and then kissed all over her face. They walked over to me and he sat her down. The sound of the ice cream truck filled the silence that was created when he sat on the other side of us.
"I want to get ice cream."
"That's fine." I started get up when he stopped me.
"I'll do it." They walked off together. I pulled out my phone reading text messages. A few seconds later they returned.
"Mommy we got you one too." Simi said with blue Popsicle juice all over her. God I love this girl.
"Thank you mamas for thinking about me." I looked at Shawn shooting a smile. He just turned his head away from me. I turned my attention back to my phone.
"I guess some things don't change." I heard him speak. I looked back down at the screensaver. It was a picture of me and him kissing while Simone was on his shoulders.
"I couldn't bring myself to change it." I laughed nervously. I looked down at the ground placing my hand on my stomach.
"How's little man?"
"He's good stubborn just like his daddy. I swear I can't get him to go to sleep for nothing. The only time he calms down is when you're around."
"We seriously having a boy? Don't play with me." I nodded my head.
"I just found out yesterday." He picked me up and placed a passionate kiss on my lips. He pulled away from me. I hate how hormonal I've become. I started crying like an idiot. "Des I didn't mean to,"
"No it's fine." I wiped my eyes of the tears. Simone was too wrapped up in her Popsicle that she wasn't paying attention to us. "I think it's time for us to go. Simone say goodbye baby."
"No! I don't want to go Shawnie."
"Simone we have to go and see grandma and papa. They miss you."
"Can he go with us?" She pouted.
"I don't think,"
"Please." I looked up at him.
"Sure if he wants to come." She looked up at him giving him a puppy dog look.
"Shawnie?"
"Alright I'll see you later."
"Yeah bye Shawnie!"
"Bye beautiful." They did there little handshake then he kissed her cheek. We walked away and got in the car.
DREW.
It has been five and half months in this hell hole. I'm just ready to get out of here. If given the change this whole situation, I honestly wouldn't. I've learned a lot about myself and I'm ready to make amends.
